The Band 1974 AD and Deep Shrestha performed in California at three different places. Their performance was awesome. The big concert at Palo Alto Sanfrancisco was incredible. The band had an oppertunity to play at the famous Tradewinds in downtown Cotati in Northern California. The small popular bar is a hangout of the local musicians and many great names play their regularly. I would like to Thank Frank Hayhurst of the Legendary Bronze Hog band for all his time and support for our musicians. The performance was of highest quality. Blair Hardman of Zone Music and Recording said that the musicians were perfectionists. Frank Hayhurst joined them in two Nepali songs with his guitar work. People loved the sound of the band. Nirakar said that it was the best gig they ever played. Next day there was big buzz going around Sonoma County Music association about the band and I was flooded with qestions about the return of the band. We await the return of the band for the big show!

Thanks for the update on 1974AD and Deep Shrestha. I wish I could have been there to watch the reaction of the select American crowd at Tradewinds as they witnessed a bunch of Himalayan guys doing their thing, and doin' it well. Priceless....

I believe that the band will tour every major city in the US with a decent Nepali population. WOW! that is a major feat...Even great local bands in the US do not get to travel around the whole country in 2 months...if they ever do at all. In that sense a whole US tour is a really biiiig deal -- kudos to the band, Deep Shrestha and all the local orgnizers for going fot it!

Next stop is Denver if i am not mistaken: then Houston, Dallas, NY, Boston, Chicago, Nebraska, Indiana, Atlanta, and last show DC once more!

Iit is also nice to hear that the quality of the music put out by the band and Shrestha together is connecting not only with the Nepali crowd, but like at the Tradewinds, with non-Nepalis as well. Wishing the band and Deep Shrestha a very successful US tour!

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm. Yes it was a great moment at the Tradewinds. It was really something to be proud of when Frank Hayhurst joined them with his guitarwork and our boys played very comfortably. Only a person who understands music and appreciate musicians can understand such things. The interactions between the musicians both at the gig and at the studio was just amazing. One could feel them communicating without talking much. Northern California Musicians Association and the Musicians Helping Musicians along with Zone Music and Recording awaits their return hoping for a bigger concert.
