The 33 koti GeoGods were surprised to hear that CyberGod is
much powerful than the GeoGods. CyberLaxmi Mrs. MunchaHouse
Dot Com delivered flower to Afno Manche and fruits requested by someone
relative living 7 samundrapar. Everyone was surprised to get
the gift "tapai ko america basne falano le pathaidinu bhako gift ...."
and the most surprising thing was inside the gift pacakage. Well,
everything was Made in Nepal, but, paid in GreenDollars. Kasari

Do not buy from Munchahouse they are twice as expensive. Trust on me that.
Biswo Posted on 06-Aug-02 07:59 AM

Service is as important as price.

Muncha looks cool. People with other experiences?
NK Posted on 06-Aug-02 08:11 AM

My sister uses Munchahouse all the time and she is fully satisfied with their service. She just wishes they had more choices. I put an order for a cake (through that running banner. I don't know who makes it and so on) two days before the Mother's Day,and guess what? The delivered it early in the morning on Mother's Day! What more could you ask?
Gouri Posted on 06-Aug-02 08:30 AM

How about thamel.com? to me it sounds cool too.
NK Posted on 06-Aug-02 08:55 AM

It has just been brought to my attention that the cake I ordered through Sajha was from Sajha.com! Great Service!! :) And they even sent me a pic of my family with the cake!

It is definitely good to see sites popping up from Nepal. It gives people like us to connect with our friends and family in Nepal. I have used both sites Muncha and thamel.com. Both seem to have good choice of products and excellent service.

However, If I were to vote for one I would vote for thamel.com for the following reasons:

1. Access to customer service in the US
2. they send digital pictures of the recipient.
3. these guys are very creative..they sell items llike khasi in Dashain to Pets for pet lovers.
4. Now you can send money to nepal.

Wish both companies best of luck. However, there are also other sites through Nepalhomepage.com. Haven't tried them!!

I have been thinking about sending a present to my parents, but I wonder if they can deliver the goods because one has to go deep into the gulley to reach my house. And, you know, the streets, especially the in-roads, are so confusing. Any thoughts?

Full advertisement going on eh !!

Wanted to send a saree to my mummy on Mother's day through Munchahouse.com & my mom made a choice on their web site. To confirm that she made a right choice she went to New Road (Muncha House) Shop to look for that particular saree & to her surprise she couldn't find any sarees there but just toys ! He He
new gifts Posted on 06-Aug-02 11:53 AM

Recently I found one site called nepalisite.com
Its interesting--I saw their gift certificate or the beauty package section.
I bought one package for my sister in nepal.
Worked good. No other sites has that--I think..
try that .
bideshi Posted on 06-Aug-02 12:57 PM

I like munchahouse.com
I 've used that quite often an d like their service.Saree is not found in the store I think. They put that only in the web. When I sent saree to my mom,she got it and ofcourse as mentioned online.I prefer muncha house.Thamel .com is too expensive, infact more expensive than muncha house though they they have more items. These guys r doing good service. But price should be less.

Hey Brit,

have you ever seen the advertisement of IBM on TV, its like this:
A young guy (employee) ask his boss to accompany to a deserted
area, and says, "our store will be right here". The old boss surprised,
who will buy your goods? The young, replies, "via Internet --
e-business solutions via IBM"...

So, you mom is like those old guys in IBM's ad., who want to
personally go to store and find their preferred goods. Unfortunately,
she find only Toys, and thats why you would have asked her

to check via Munchahouse.com website, and she would have
saved Taxi fare / gasoline . So, Munchahouse.com is probably
not a good choice to conventional peoples like your mother.

Teach her that she don't have to travel to Munchahouse.com's
office where she will find full of modern Toys "the computers", because
the real store of Munchahouse.com is either very far from common
peoples real world access (I am not talking about " remote " virtual e-store),
or exists only in Cyberspace.

If teach her how to use internet, and do internet shopping, don'T
complain us, that she spend your all the green dolla savings. Don't
let her addicted to e-shopping using your credit cards.
