Birendra seemed sad. His Seiko watch fainted or may be died he was not sure. "This Seiko means a lot to me", Bire told to himself as if he didn't know. He opened the back of the watch to see what's wrong even though neither he was a mechanic nor was he sure what was he looking for. He did not see that chukul moving. Tried manually to put the chukul in motion but Seiko didn't like that. He even tried to administer CPR by dam diyera to that automatic watch. He tried to listen to Seiko's heart beat. No,*Dam* did not do the trick. After exhausting all his tricks to resurrect his emotion laden poor old Seiko, Bire left his apartment for Walmart in that 104 degree nice weather of Alabama the beautiful . He couldn't believe his *dhaseka* eyes when he saw a beautiful lady behind watch counter. With a muskan he approached her. She didn't know and didn't care what's up with Bire, a Mexican dude (for her). Bire explained, at least tried, how important is that watch to him and said he would greatly appreciate if the watch could be repaired. Beauty took the watch did not pay much attention and put it on a rack and asked him to come back after two days saying the mechanic was away. He wanted to hang around more and have some sukha dukha ka gaf with that "Chwak" but Chwak was not giving a "bal". Bire was about to engage her with his Mt. Everest story, Bubby approached the counter looking for a $3.99 watch. Annoyed Bire moved away to a different area of the store. He spotted some belts on sale. "peti ta chahiya chha, euta". He looked around and above to see if he can "hijack" one. Spoting a black karai above him he gave up that hijack idea and left saying aru ketaharu sanga aako belama jhap hannu parchha. After two days, he came back to the store to pick up his watch. But the chwank was not working. He wanted that chwank. He returned back to his dera. Came back later but still she was not working. He came again next day. No, she was not there. He kept coming to the store twice a day to catch her but Bire couldn't find his "babe". Finally, a week later Bire saw her behind the counter. With a big smile he apprached her. She, obviously, didn't know who the dude was. Bire was nobody but a Mexican dude for her. I left a watch here, Bire said. "What watch?", beauty asked. Bire couldn't believe Chwank does not remember him. Dhak.ka ta paryo man ma. "Seiko", he said. Do you have a receipt? Chwank asked again. What receipt? Bire couldn't figure out. Chwank looked all over the place but couldn't find Bire's watch. Bire was spending more time searching chwank with his eyes than looking for his senti Seiko. Finally, Bire's "babe" gave up and said, I don't know where your watch is." "Whom did you give that watch to?" She asked yet one more question. Bire ta chhanga bata khasya jastai bho. Ghadi paiyena. Chwank said in her sweet voice with a smile.."sorry...." Bire tripta bho... "tha'ts aiight...have a nice day...thank you." before his Babe could complete the sentence Bire spoke. "Have a nice day" sammata la thik.kai chha...tara "Thank you" for what? ********** Based on a true story.

Yeah Biswoji, true story, unfortunately. Later most of his friends asked him, "ke ko dhanyabd dya? ghadi harai di chha...jhan bhannu pardaina manager bola complain garchhu..." "Tyasto chwank lai pani complain garchhan.?...timiharule dekhaya.bhe twan parthyou...tyaso KT ta life ma dekhya chhaina..." ,Bire flashes his eyes, "kya naram sanga *sorry* bhanisake pachhi....feri kaha bhadkaunu.....ke bhannu...." "ghadi m*&^ harako chahi sarai chit.ta dukha chha....kasto...Vyaarluk...", Bire added.

Deep, You have very interestingly shown: (1) What a captivating beauty is. (2) sometimes how we say something we really don't mean. (3) How easily we get diverted from our core problem. (4) How asymmetry in feelings can create two completely different perspectives. (5) And above all, how childlike we are: "If you don't give me the cake, candy is also fine. Thank you."

Very funny. The "peti ta chahiya chha, euta," bit and that our ankha dhaseko hero considered engaging the Mexican Beauty with the Everest ko gaff (bichara gorkheko aru ke nai chha ra) is the funniest thing I have come across in GBNC. Looking forward to more of these senti bits from deep and others.

Alnepali, Ke chha? durbin, and ebony_firefly, Thanks a lot. At this point (thread thigriye jasto chha) I would like to thank you all. The comments you drop in mean a lot to me. I do not write to be popular or win people's heart. I am neither a professional writer (it's pretty obvious) nor wish to be one. I usually visit the days that are no more when I am exhausted at work. That's when I write stuff. When I read someone liked/disliked what I wrote I feel good. deep
