getting student visas for Nepalis coming to USA

Namaskar, I am a former college student who spent a semester at the School for International Training (in Kathmandu) studying Nepali culture and traditional medicine. During my travels I became close friends with a Nepali student who wanted to come to the US to study engineering/medicine. The only problem is that he doesn't have a family member over here to sponsor him. What advice can I give to him on how to live out his dream of being a student in the US? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you, Brad

Brad,

Its good to know that you are trying to help this friend of yours in Nepal. But unfortunately, only thing he can do is apply directly from Nepal. Regardless of the sponsors he has to be admitted to a college or university in the US. So first thing he needs to do is identify a college and see if he can ge admitted.
