Welcome back Ashu. Your penchant for tweaking some raw nerves were greatly missed.
**************

Hi Namita,

Thank you for your warm welcome.

I think Peter Drucker, the great management guru,
has written in an issue of Harvard Business
Review that:

Some people learn BEST by reading, others by
listening and still others by writing.

The key to personal success, says Drucker,
is to figure out for yourself what makes learning
enjoyable and productive for you, and stick to
that.

[For example, someone who learns BEST by reading
or by listening or talkiing to others would be
relatively more miserable and unproductive as
a writer, and so on!]

I have discovered that writing is the BEST
way for me to learn new stuff, make new
friends, challenge my own ideas, and learn
from others who do/may NOT share my views.

In light of the above, let me tell you that
I post stuff and write publicly NOT with an agenda
to "tweak some raw nerves" (though this is an occasional
by-product!) but this is how I, for one, ENJOYABLY
learn new stuff. And I do have a big thirst for
learning new things -- all the time.

Now, if others like you also SHARE that
enjoyment, then fine.

If not, well, that's life.

Meantime, time-permitting, I shall keep on posting
stuff and writing publicly.

Greetings,

It certainly feels good to see ashu dai back in this board. Though, i don't know much about literature and/or other discussions that goes on this board, i nonetheless enjoy reading those and broaden my horizon.. The best way to learn, in my personal opinions is to read and listen attentively to what others have to say. [This is what Drucker once told us in a class at the Claremont Graduate School. I am glad that ashu dai brought his example. Having been around him for a while, I might add that this guy truly believes in what he writes! He is the one who told me, " son, yoiu are young, go see the world before you start yo urgraduate school."]

Trailokya,

It's impressive that you'd been around this
great man at Claremont.

I find his thoughts sensible,
unpretentious, honest, practical and
useful.
