The 1974 ad and deep shrestha concert in dallas was amazing. It was worth the 15 hours drive from tucson, arizona. They totally rocked that little place. i was surprised when they performed "kharo hai surti le ni batulki lagyo..." by tara devi. I belive it was tara devi who sang that song. they did the instrumental version of it. it was nice to hear deep shrestha too. he sounds the same as he did a decade ago. i couldn't understand why he didn't sing "pratikcha gara meri mayalu". it's probably his most popular song. it was even better when i actually got to meet him on the stage after the concert. he was nice to talk to. signed my AD tshirt and so did the other members of the band. the dallas crowd hit the floor after our arizona crowd started making some noise. even the little kids were rocking to the beats. sometime back people were arguing about whether to bring kids to the AD concert or not, i say bring them. they most certainly seem to enjoy the music. there were at least 7 to 8 kids that had to be no more than 5 years old who were jumping on the floor and on the stage. even i jumped around with those kids. although i thought that train dance thing was pretty lame, i had to join it cause there was this fine looking gal infront of me. couldn't offord to miss the fine opportunity to form a train ko dibba with her. my apologies to the man who was sitting on the chair while i was jumping on the floor. i must have stepped on him at least 20 times. i was the one with white AD tshirt on my hand . it seemed the band was also enjyoing it when we started dancing. they must have been tiered after such a long trip from colorado and a cocnert in houstan and finally in dallas cause those guys were driking red bull while performing. the manoj bansuri guy was the most energetic of all. the concert made it worth going through a dust storm in new mexico where visibility was almost zero and getting a ticket for going 30 miles over the speed limit in texas. i encourage eveyone who have the opprotunity to go see the band and deep shrestha. go support our musicians and enjoy the music.
