Now got to learn that 9/11 victims families will be filing a lawsuit for the banks who financed the terrorism. The amount : 100 trillion dollars. If they are aware that they could win $0 in thier suit, why file the lawsuit? My sympathies to the victims families, but i don't think saudi banks are gonna give a damn to this lawsuit, let alone the money. The special concept of *suing* here in the US has been portraying the american people of their complete ignorance and senselessness about this special aspect of law and order of the country. A fat man is heard to sue 4 fast food chain restaurants: McDonalds, BK, KFC and wendy's for serving him too *fatty* foods which has caused him to get overweight. He must have thought of it as an easy way to rake up a few million dollars. It's been enough. We need a change. The government needs to redefine some points in the law which allows people to sue others for a reason where no common sense seems to have taken a place. What surprises me, like I have mentioned, is the news of Saudi Banks getting sued for making funds available for the highjackers. Although I am well aware of the consequences of the suit, I wonder if there is any provision in the US law that allows its citizen to sue people/person from another country. If so, do you think the third country party is obliged to, in case of loss of their case, pay the mentioned amount to the winning party of any other country ?

hey Nuts ji... A little while ago, a friend of mine and I were just discussing what you had posted!! How can one question the existence of logical in an illogical society where, - a parent sued the GOVT to remove the "Pledge of Allegiance" from public schools just because it has the phrase "under God". That it was unconstitutional....his child (studying in KG) was forced to say it... guess what, he won the first round..... -that although no credit is not bad credit...you cannot get a credit card unless you accumulate some good credit!!!!! and to build up good credit one has to have the purchasing power of a credit card. Now, how in the world can one do that? -That the bhashans of President Bush sounds like something written by George Lucas in Star Wars......"The evil one", "The axis of Evil" "evil does not end"....duhhhhhh, "a relic of the past (refering to Castro)"!!! _That you don't need to look saath samudra par for "third world" countries and their woes, just look into the inner cities of S. E. Washington DC (ward 8), the capital of the great nation....... -that it was "human connectedness" and not the rhetorical "patriotism" that encouraged people to help eachother post 9/11..... More than 60 % of the populace of NYC is immigrant and/or offsprings of immigrants. and the list is long...if you really look for illogical scenarios, but to get back to your thread,....anything is possible. the law may not be broken...but can be bent to suit one's purpose. I would not hold my breath if I were you! There is more than just victims of 9/11 involved here... (and much more than conspiracy theories). so....just watch the drama unfold....... but thanks for the post!!

Now, how in the world can one do that? a decent point ! the credit bureaus need to do something about this. I am a good victim of this senseless idea.

I say again, logic is overrated! Lawsuits, more often than not, are stupid! But thank God, we can sue who we want! It raises awareness and focuses attention on important issues. It's high time someone sued the Saudis! They might give a damn but the case will hopefully shed some light on what the actual connection is between "legitimate" financial insitutions and the terrorists. Amen! Have a good night!

I wonder if there's been any progress in *suing* the saudi's by these victim's families.
