Announcing!

1974AD and Deep Shrestha US Farewell Concert
George Mason University, September 8th, 2002
In aid of Pashupati Buddha Mandir

All good things must come to an end and after performing in 13 US cities to packed halls and converted fans this team of musical minstrels will return to Nepal after appearing in one last mega-concert – where else but in the DC area – where it all started!Having learned some lessons from the ANA Concert please note the following features:

1. A dance area to accommodate hundreds without blocking the view of those who prefer to remain seated
2. Deep Shrestha will come in after 2 opening numbers by the band and will perform many of his classic hits.
Time permitting he will return towards the end.
3. No alcohol will be permitted (by campus law)
4. Concert will start on time

On the request of the musicians, this Farewell Concert will donate 20% of the net ticket sales to the Pashupati-Buddha Mandir/NECC.

Here are some reviews from their concerts in various cities:

DC: “Awesome music ! Deep and the band are a perfect match. Definitely worth seeing again and again.” Asim Pandey
SanFrancisco: The best Nepali music and most talented band I have heard in years! Suren Rai
Los Angeles: “The fusion of Deep Shrestha and 1974AD is truly magical. Their mucical performance is simply extraordinary!” Dhiraj Lama
Denver: “Cool guys! cool music! This band will be together for a long time making great music together. Don’t miss them. And what can I say about the great Deep Shrestha that has not been said already!” Bijay Adhikari
Houston: “In Houston the living legend of Nepali music – the one and only Deep Shrestha -- and the #1 Nepali musical band 1974AD swept the Nepali and international audience to their feet and wrapped up the whole auditorium … with their lively vibrant and electrifying music. It was a beautiful combination of sight and sound.” Rajendra Shrestha
Dallas: “It was the greatest and most tantalizing Nepali show ever performed in Dallas soil. The group 1974AD with legendary Deep Shrestha dai are the symbol of unity of all Nepalis living in the US. On top of that they are the most down to earth artists and human beings that we have come across so far. Thank you.” Dhiren Gurung
Boston: “Outstanding! Awesome! Definitely a crowd pleaser! Two Thumbs up!!!” sajha.com
