Hi all,

Where is Biswo these days?

I hope Biswo is just taking a break, and will soon
start posting stuff. Whether one agreed
or disagreed with him on certain issues, Biswo
should be appreciated for regularly posting
stuff to make this site a lively one.

If some of the recent criticisms got Biswo down
(which I hope not!!), then let me offer a few
pieces of unsolicited advice to Biswo and all
other fellow posters:

1) No matter what you post, about 20 percent of
your readers are NOT going to like you anyway.
They'll think you're too smart, too arrogant
and too everything they themselves are supposedly
not. Let those people judge you from the silence
of their computer terminals. There isn't much
you can do about them, except wish them well,
and move on with your life.

Out of that 20, 5 percent -- the ones foaming at
the mouth with genetically inherited raging, shaking
anger -- will hate your guts, and will do anything
to destroy/discredit/badmouth you. You can pity
these genetic freaks and learn to take their
anonymous barbs with grace, humor and kindness.

2) BUT you focus on the other 80 percent --
people who enjoy reading your stuff even when
they strongly disagree with you. These are the
people you write for, and they are generally
smart enough to figure out the truth for
themselves, that would be your humble reward.
You just have to bre patient, unyielding
and believe in yourself and your writings.

So, Biswo, don't let some recent public criticisms
get you down. The highest praise anyone can offer
you is read your stuff and spend his or her time
criticizing you in public. You are worth that
much to the critic.

Hope to see your postings too; and good luck
on your exams, if they are coming up soon.

I agree.

But, I am not a polite as our ashu dai here, so I'll say, let the barking dogs bark. K bhancha tyo, kaag karaudai garcha, pina sukdai garcha.

Dear Ashu and Trailokya:

Thanks for your concern. I was out of Auburn for the last week,
and although I managed to read the postings here, I was unable
to post reply. It is wrong to say that I was fazed by the people
who are paranoid enough to label everything as 'boasting' rather
than 'posting'.

A good news is the Discussion was live this time.It is probably
because of the stability gained by the Discussion(kurakani) after
more than a year.I also hope that 'literature' section will also
gain such stability one day.

Again, thanks to both of you, and I want to reply a thread about
Zhu's visit to Nepal right now.
