Hey al, How many of you feel that there is a conspiracy behund the royal massacre...aka you dont fully beleive that the probe comittee came up with the true story? If you do beleive there was a conspiracy, then how many of you feel that the current King and son may have a hand in it? This is for mere statistical purpose, and also to get a feel of about Nepalis feel about this subject after over a year....Have we forgotten?

I don't believe the official version of the story. I suspect Paras is the "hero" or "villain" of this story. He is also rachankar, director and financier of this natak. Of courese, somebody else did provide full support and help.

It was unfortunate that RPP, Deuba groups and durbarya could not read the mind of king Birendra. The then king wanted to see the failure days of Koirala bad, which was very rivalry personalities and challenging since the first democratic movement of 1947. It may be the reason the praposal to use the RNA was never taken seriously. In this juncture Girija' s claims the need of RNA sounds logic but it leaves the reasoning for the Operation Sherra" where Maoist supporters were targeted to be aboloished unanswered and the result became the starting of the Mao bad. In another side RPP which could not tolerate another defeat to Girija as they had not forgot the loss of Pnachayat. Eventually RPP loss the Panchayat but they have been gaining the dirty politics game . Unfortunately Congress trusted RPP rather than accepting the existence of the Leftist Parties, which benifited RPP. RPP were able to bring fractions even among the congress parties. Let us forget about the past and let us accept the present so letus support Deuba if he is ready to take action to any body not just the Girija groups. This Government should bring the realities of Nepal Bank and Rastriya Banijya Bank why they were not able to collect their debts and who were thsoe collectors.

Paras is not that smart to carry out that ordeal, he does not look that smart nor have shown any sign of being smart in his entire life. There is no way he could have orchestrated the murder. I have spent many days wondering about the massacre, even though there are some gray areas in the official version of the murder, I believe it is closer to reality than anyone one of would like to accept.

Analysis, Bingo----you are right on the money! Some of the people are trying to over-work their brains to find some conspiracy theory. I , too, believe, that the official version has a whole lot more truth than what people want to believe....not that it's 100 %. Paras may be your typical bad-boy but I believe that he does not possess the level of intelligence and planning to carry out the massacre! I heard that Rukhma Shumsher and Pashupati Shumsher had brought in an Indian tantric mystic...set him up in Yak N Yeti. He had given Devyani some concoctions to give it to Dippy..which would make him be "crazy for her" ...and told her to wear red whenever she's in his presence to make the attraction more powerful. FYI, Rukhma's son-in-law, Anil Shah's house was where Dippy and Devyani used to meet for their secret rendezvous many-a-time!!!
