Hi, I have been having lots of trouble posting to sajha in recent days... let me just test by starting a new thread and sharing a glimpse of a side street in Patan. Arnico.

Arnico...... Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. They are so beautiful. You have caught the actual essence of "hamro sundar Nepal"!

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I will have to ask for some patience, as I only have a very slow flatbed scanner and have a lot of work and travels in the coming week. I do have photos for most of what you are asking for (except perhaps Godavari marble... few planes fly close to Fulchoki)... will post as I get a chance. Suna, I have been doing just that of a few places... Tinkune (Baneswar) area is easy to photograph on each take-off... I have photos somewhere of that going back at least 12 years. But need to find them first! Hahooguru... a good idea, but will take time and effort to implement. Might be much faster with satellite photos or professional aerial photos (available on the web as well, don't have URLs at the moment). My photos are all out of side windows... slanted views... and each from a different location (as the plane was moving)... so it will be almost impossible to stitch them together without a huge effort of changing their shapes and sizes... I appreciate your citing sources, but fear that I am not yet ready to e-mail you my library of photos... I doubt I will have time to scan all of them in the next few months... VillageVoice: yes, I do have a picture that goes closer, but it was in worse weather... will try to find it anyways. The best one I have is on a slide... and I don't have the equipment to scan that (besides the fact that it is sitting 11 time zones away right now). Suna again: as you know people I went to school with you probably know quite a bit about me. Yet you hide behind a pseudonym so I have no idea who you are... isn't that kind of unfair??? :-) Arnico

You people might be tired of this thread... but just wanted to ask (for future reference)... with this many photos, does it load fine, or is it a pain? Thanks. Arnico.

Tired? I feel like I've just gained admission to an exclusive gallery of breathtaking pictures. On second thought stop posting and publish a book. Dorothy
