This is a suggestion:
How about we have a STAR Posters' Circle on sajha.com?
We create a group of STAR posters initially.
When star posters post, a small star appears besides their Name as well as besides the thread name - both in Kurakani list and the list in the main page. So that viewers can directly go the the threads with STAR Posters' involvement.
To get initiated into the Star Posters' Circle, all the existing Star Posters will have to vote you in - using an anonymous voting that will get created when a request to become a star poster is made.
Does this sound like a good idea? I think this will help regular sajha visitors to be able to selectively participate in the threads of their choice without having to weed through too much junk.

It will be easier for me to avoid all those posts by the "star" posters. Let's go for it!

... no, seriously, I think this system of determining who gets starts sounds a bit like fraternity/sorority admission...
how about, in the column showing the time of the last posting, also include the name of the last poster?

you referring to the star system back in kindy..?!
the more stars a person gets next to their name the better their thread OR the most topical/visited?
Kurakani (?) shouldn't reduce ppls threads into 'star posters'.. systems.. whatever.. the current threading system hehe is working just fine!

sounds like a good merit-based system....for potty training! how many times in a row does someone have to go successfully before getting a star?

I think Stars is a bad idea.
If you start givin' stars to people then it won't be sajha any more.
It would create this elite group of people who would think they are above the ordinary.
We already have enough people who think that way even without the stars system..just imagine... Like the quote:
ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY(society)
NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY(society) CAN DO FOR YOU

mmm,
this oyster is empty! someone ripped the pearl......and is poisonous very much!! so doesn't matter if its fried, toasted, chilled, frozen, thawed, or eaten raw....
so don't get tempted :O ;)
