Damn, Ram suddenly started earning more money that I do. I was earning Rs. 5000/month and now he makes Rs. 7000/month. Oh my god, anyhow I have to make more that he does. So instead of focusing on how I should make more money that Ram does, I will just focus on how I can make Ram earn less money that I do. HAHAHAHAHA.

I agree with you. I'm a US citizen nepali. I have been looking for a work for past 3 months and haven't been abel to find any. All the illegal nepalis earn atleast $ 12/hours. What the hell is going on now a days ???

You may focus on the question, why you did not get the job rather than how other got the job. May be giving couple hours effort to find a job than being in sajha.com may help you. Hope you taking it positively. Wish you all the best.

Uh, I do have a job. I graduated from college 2 months ago. I earn big $$$ - $$$ that you'll never get your hands on. But dagnabit, I don't want friggin' filthy illegal bustards to earn more than me. They don't deserve it. My parents and I sacrificed so much to get till here, and meeting an illegal border-jumper earning more than me makes me sick! I won't spare a person just because he's Nepali. Remember that. I'm coming after you!

Citizen, spell it out for me, will ya? I didn't hire no corrupt lawyers to find me a green card. And why do you wanna know how I got my citizenship? I don't hate em coz they're Nepalis. I'm Nepali too, remember? Why would I be hatin' myself. Lol. That doesn't make any sense.
I wonder why y'all are makin' such a big fuss out of this. Oh, wait. Y'all are working illegally too huh? If your visa expires, it means you must either 1)renew it or 2) get the hell out from the country you're currently in and return to the third world you came from or 3) do menial tasks like working in restaurants.
Now if you don't fall into any of the categories I mentioned above, you are a nuisance to the society. You are taking away jobs from hard-working Americans. Remember that and feel guilty next time you work illegally.

THEY SHOULD STOP ISSUE MORE VISA TO NEPALI AND OTHERS. EVERY DAY ILLEGAL NEPALI ARE GROWING WHICH IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD FOR NEPAL.60% OF NEPALI HERE IN US IS ILLEGAL AND IT'S GROWING. IT IS TIME SOME BODY SHOULD DO SOME THING ABOUT IT.

before blabbing their mouth, they should put themselves in others shoes. Think that it's you who's illegal. Think about the situation in Nepal and your family and all the "RIN." that you'll to pay. Probably this don't apply to some but lots of people have this problem.
so let them work and help their family back home.
Some Pregnant Mexican women cross the border just to have babies in the US soil. Hell! I would do the same, probably just so that I have food on the table for me and my family. Nothing's more important than family.

I don't understand, How can an illegal person earn more money than legal if both of them work same hour? If some illegal works 18 hours a day to earn certain amount of money, while you are takin' weekends off, and workin' freakin' 20 hours a week just because of football season and basketball season, then you are simply jealous.
You said, you don't mind if those illegals are drivin' cabbies, flippin' burgers blah blah!! So what do you think "illegals" get a job in a firm if they are not legal enough to get accepted for the job? Those firms ain't gonna pay the illegals who don't pay the tax. Or in other words, Firms don't pay undertable (as far as i know). If someone you think is illegal and makes more money than you do, you better check his papers. May be its your illusion that he/she is illegal.

Be satisfied & content in what you have which will bring you happiness & only happiness ! Being jealous of materialistic needs will only bring you grief, trauma & anxiety.
Spare plenty of time in making your time more productive & to contribute to the community where you are residing. The more you contribute, the more you get back for yourself. The more you become jealous of others, the more harm you will do for yourself. If you think good for others; the good '' kata kata bata'' will come back to you.
So far I've witnessed all the famous Sajhaites for instance Hahoo Guru, NK, deep, oys_chill ALMOST all are jealous of one thing or the other. Hahoo Guru seems to be jealous of his mates succeding in academic & professional career & making fame for themselves. Hopefully those World Bank fellows will think for Nepal as well rather than just limiting time in Gaining upper management positions for themselves. Delegates the doner corporations/countries... but in Real life, absolutely not interested about Nepal or, how it's families are surviving there.

I am also a US citizen and i think it is stupid reason to believe that one is not getting job of his/her qualification because of illegal people. Enron and worldcom didn't collapse because of Illegal people. Don't compare "JOBS legal american's" looking for with "Jobs illegal people do". There is job everywhere. There is help wanted everywhere. But you don't wanna go to work as a busboy coz you have a degree. Those illegal people, they might jump to grab that oppertunity.
INS is not blind, neither is American Government. They know so-called american's like you don't wanna work as burger flippers, floor moppers or what not. Just imagine, a restaurant. It has everyone from Chef, food servers, cooks, manager ,wait person and no dishwasher. If there is no dishwasher in the busy restaurant for a month, they have to close it, or else, everyone from manager to chef has to do the dishes. Since American like you don't wanna go work as a dishwasher, they have to close the restaurant. Closing a restaurant will affect the economy. bad economy will ruin the country. so they will rather take a chance with illegal than ruin the country. USE BRAIN, SHOW SOME AMERICANNESS...

i heard a lot of crap about illegals taking away the jobs from a hardworking American. My observation in these past ten years I have been here
- I HAVE NOT SEEN AN ILLEGAL MEXICAN, SALVADORAN, INDIAN, NEPALESE, OR ANY ILLEGAL AS A HOMELESS, NEITHER IN DC , NOR IN NYC- NOR IN SEATTLE- ALL THE HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE AMERICANS.-
it is understandable some of the homelesses have mental problems or such, and due to the lack of medication, they become dis-oriented and end up on the streets. But most of them, I have observed, wait all day on a traffic stop , with a playcard asking people to give them some money. At the end of the day, towards the evening you will find these very same people DRUNK as SKUNK in the neighbourhoods.
My point is, whoever is here in this country as an Illegal has some type of work, unlike fellow AMERICANs who prefer to beg than work. So the idea of running this thread is STUPID. How can you envy your own countrymen, just because you have a green card or citizenship. Why not let them live their lives .

I believe I am a little bit late in replying to your posting.
Do you really think that because you became a US citizen you are entitled to get a job that you may not qualify for? I think that was a rather stupid comment on your part.
The Department of Labor is very aware of the current trends and the lack of employment for its citizens but at the same time, they are also aware that many of the citizens do not have the qualifications that is needed to boost the economy of this county. Therefore, the introduction of all the visas to ensure that the country has the set of skilled people that it requires. Yes, it could be a case of the construction of the railroad - chinese laborers were worshipped when the economy was good .....(I'm sure you know the history as you are a US citizen) so lets cut the crap shall we?
Maybe you don't possess the skills for the kind of job you are looking for - turn to $12/hr doing whatever makes you employed! GET THE $12/- FAST LEST another immigrant gets the job!

Rekha, instead of complaining about how illegal nepalese get jobs and not you, why don't you just focus on how you can get jobs? May be diverting your attention from jealousy towards your own personal growth might help.
Anyway, another nepalipan:
Ram is in love with Sita. But Sita doesn't have any interest in Ram and instead likes Shyam. Now Shyam and Sita are in deep love. Ram cannot stand Shyam getting Sita (I don't know why. Probably because of nepalipan). So he makes up his mind to beat up Shyam with the help of his "awara" friends. But why, only Ram knows.....

To all you folks bitching about my complaint about illegal Nepali immigrants, all I can think of why you are bitching is because you lot are illegal workers yourselves, and you all need to be deported pronto. Flipping burgers in restaurants, or cleaning toilets, or working as a cashier aren't the only ways one can work illegally. There are people out there who work for ndian companies, or other companies owned by foreigners, who readily hire illegal workers. There are still others out there who are working even when their visa has expired. If your visa has expired, it means you need to get the hell out of the US. Working without paying taxes hurts the American economy. An illegal worker worker whose salary isn't as much as mine saves more money because almost 20% of my salary goes towards taxes but his doesn't. Now why should I, or any other hard-working American tolerate this???
I swear, next time I meet an illegal immigrant, whether Nepali or non-Nepali, I'll report him to the INS.

Hey, I never said people with Green Card are illegal. Where did I say that? As long as they have appropriate visa, that's fine by me, and as long as they're illegal, I don't really care what Bush has said. As far as I am concerned, they're not paying taxes. I'm all for legal immigration, but illegal folks are just leeches.
