Pramendra,

When I saw, NSP at the end of the URL, I thought whether its the party
that you are trying increase public support. I wish that majority of kids
in Nepal get direct or indirect (though Budhanilkantha HS's licensed
syllabus: A sort of GNU License for public schools). Quality control
by SEBSONLINE MEmbers. If you want to develop such BKNS Syllabus,
I can sponsor US$ 100. No kidding. But, I am not in favor of sponsoring
Scholarship. I remember when I was in Damauli for sometime, the
Jilla Savapati ko Chhora went to Budhanilkantha School under the
quota allocated for poor students. I wish Pramendra ji was not son of
powerful political force or influential govt. officer or Sahu ji ko chhora.
I wish you were deserve to get the post in free competition.
In my eye, the quota is misused by Jilla ka savapati-Politicians
and beaurocrats. BTW, do you know there is used to be kid
whose name was Naresh M. who died in Bus accident, was
younger brother of my classmate, and was younger son of one of
the richest person in the district, and he was admitted under the
quota for poor student. I was shocked to hear his death, but, how
got admission in BKNS under Poor's quota always gives bad impression
on BKNS. Recently, I found someone close to me got admission at
BKNS in private funding quota, that surprised me and the admission
of the kid asks me to correct my PAST -ve CHHAP,
but, I still suspect how its screening is fair when those 1/3 intake
come under poor's quota? Thats why I am reluctant to pay any
donation to NSP. But, if BKNS creates a Syllabus and offers
General Users License to Public Schools, I can sponsor the cost
of the GNU licensing of Budha Syllabus.

HahooGuru:

(1) I was a half scholarship student at BNKS for seven years, and my family could barely come up with even that. For the final three years a British lady stepped in to pay that half as well because my family could not. I got into BNKS on merit. And my family barely managed to pay.

(2) This scholarship scheme is not for BNKS students. It is run by SEBS but for students attending local schools in remote districts. So please contribute and pass on the word.
