It never ceases to amaze me how once in a while sajha is flooded by one person.

As far as I remember the same names keep cropping up guilty of this "ME ME and ME" dysfunction. Namely Ashu, NK, HahooGuru and Paramendra.

So these posters have some grounds here on sajha because of the time they have spent here or the quantity of materials they have posted here.

It bothers me that sometimes the sajha-ness of it all is tarnished by the "ME ME and ME" posters. If we take a look at the recent posting, especially the one on the Column, we can see that venerable NK has been kind enough to copy and paste her gungaan from one posting to another for everyone else to admire more. So much thoughtfulness that her 'fans' don't miss her eulogies by her other fans.

Here are what some of these bidwans say to themselves in their free times when they are not posting:

Ashu: "I'm wayyyyyy over everyone else. Nothing can touch me or affect me. I'm a cunning son of a gun." He turns around in a dramatic motion to face the mirror and give a Zoolander look. Looks at himself sideways, blows a little kiss, winks at himself, points at himself and smiles."You got it!"

NK: "I'm the virtual goddess. With my picture up on the front page, I am now virtually surfing on the glory. This is the epitomy of my achievements. Woo hoooooooo. My poems are world class they deserve two thumbs up from Siskel and Ebert." She kneels down and begins to beat her chest like TarZan the ape man.

HahooGuru: "I am the king of all jack of none. This title was bestowed upon me by my fellow sajha countrymen. They want me to be their king since I have such vast knowledge on any subject. I have sacrificed each one of my hair in pursuit of knowledge in order to be able to daftly show my expertize in any subject you can dream of. From the entropy in thermodynamics to the slow entropy of my correct senses to stay focused on the point at hand, I am truely amazing. When I make mistakes, or when someone catches me making any mistakes, I have a defense mechanism set up to fire 10 postings per minute with the hope that people with bad short term memory totally forget about my mistakes and see me as the heavyweight that I am. By the way I'm looking for a high heel shoes since I can't see the mirror." He whips out his comb from his back right pocket and a mirror from his back left pocket. Cleans the mirror in his bum.

This James Bond character has a good future as a homorist/sarcastic writer. Keep it up!
Critique Posted on 29-Aug-02 08:52 AM

I mean satyrical not sarcastic.
Naresh Karki Posted on 29-Aug-02 08:52 AM

This is basic human behaviour...Everybody loves attention and admirations...Everybody has self pride on their good things and achivements. Is anything wrong with that? Even they ( NK ASHU , HOHOOGURU, PARMENDRA...etc) say "ME ME ME ", we dont have to complain here. They deserve it, dont they???? They invest so much time and energy to reach in this position. Many of their postings are standard, sometime very informative. Personally I learn a lot of things from them. For example I never understand entropy eventhough I took class on that. The discussion started by Hahoo Guru helped me a lot to understand it in some extent.

I DONOT think so they are writing here just to get appreciation from sajha.com visitors.

You started this thread, I am replying it...perhaps some other people will reply here and write against them. Why????? The reason could be jealousy.

Naresh,

HG writes 10postings to dhak-chhop garna his past mistakes. I believe in
time, and peoples keep on chaning with time because they earn age at
the expense of time, age means experienced. Well, I have to revisit those
past postings on you and reanalyze whether I was excessive? History

Regardless of whether James Bond meant his posting to be humorous or satirical, you have to admit, there’s some element of truth in it. Sorry NK, you know I love you, but then you also know I’ve got to speak my mind or I just wouldn’t be me!
cardinal Posted on 29-Aug-02 11:32 AM

I like NK's articles, that's why I am here.

I enjoy paramendra's passionate argument's, thats why I am here.

I love hahooguru's way of approaching arguments, thats why I am here.

I have not read much of Ashu's articles lately, but I always admired them.

So there, I like reading with them and I like reading about them . What's the problem?

For six months or so I have been "stalking" around sajha.com; never participating in discussions, but always reading every thread with intent. Over time I have seen many "bitchpatrols" come and go, many "Madmax" releasing there testosterones and so on. But then, when it comes to people who actually feel responsible for what they have written, who never try to use there anonymity to backstab others, and who really discuss and debate on topics; they are the ones who have upheld the charm and beauty of sajha.com. These are the people who have attached the "ME" in them to "sajha.com" and made this place so welcoming, so appealing and so interesting.

Everyone might not agree with me, but I adore these sajha patriots...

To, Mr. James Bond,
'Tomorrow never dies',
That is why,
'The world is not enough',
With 'the golden gun', at hand,
May be, even for you,
'ME, ME & ME', may one day come true.
Regards!

Naresh Karki Ji,
I agree with you that "me, me, me" is natural. There is definitely nothing wrong with that. But if you start saying

me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me....

or more of those, it could get a little sticky.
_BP Posted on 31-Aug-02 06:04 PM

I must admit, whenever I post something, I come back much more frequently to see if anyone responded to "my" contribution. I am selfish that way. It makes me feel good. But everyone is selfish. I would argue that even Mother Teresa was selfish. She helped others because it made her feel good. It is those who enjoy hurting others we should be wary of.

Hey BP:
So nice to "see"you again. I passed on your message and it was very happily received I am told!
HahooGuru Posted on 31-Aug-02 07:25 PM

BP,

A quote for you:

"Whenever you put a foot mark, watch out guys with erasors"-- Anon

Those who reply positively (even flattering) are trying to reinforce us,
while there are some very dedicated guys with erasors, who look everything
pessimistically, sarcastically, ...are the guys equipped with erasors.

I have a feeling the "Anon" is actually you HG, for you seem creative enough to come up with your own quotes.

But in all honesty, we need some folks to "MC" this board, and I am glad that there are people who are willing to take the bull by its horns, at the price of being thought of as egotistical. But I look forward to new topics submitted by Ashu, Paschim, Paramendra etc because they are usually thought-provoking. I don't much care for poetry, but a lot of people obviously do. Being able to gloss over some threads is better than not having any new threads!
hMM Posted on 02-Sep-02 10:24 AM

It seems like Jbond might have been able to hit the soft spot here. NK has disappeared since this thread. Joie Devi wasted no time showing her support for NK.

hMM maybe you did not read NK's post from earlier this week. If you had you would have known that she has a life outside of Sajha as well. Also, what about Joie de virve now? I think you just did not understand what she wrote. Go and read it again.
