Light Brain Teasing Observations/Questions and Answers!!!

First topic is: "How Does A Rikshaw Make a Turn?"

There was some discussion about this topic in HGjyu's Mathematics thread and I moved it here due to popular demand, maybe 'matehmatics' is little esoteric for many of us.

HG added a question on this 'How does a Airplane make a turn?' - I don't have the concrete answer but I have some observations - later in this thread

Back to Riksaw. Let us state the problem again, if you know skip this portion.

When a Rikshaw puller wants to go left or right he swivels the handle in that direction and rikshaw goes in that direction. But, there has to be some mechanism in the rear wheel to follow the front wheel. You can read some more discussion in Mathematcs thread.

Logic concludes that both the wheels have to spin in different speeds so that outward wheel travels longer distance than inward direction. Gokul and DWI had great inputs saying that the Riksha puller leans in that direction, but that only aids in different speed of the wheels.

The problem is when the peddle is pressed the chain from the front sprocket moves the rear sprocket in the axel where the wheels are attached, so the force transfer to the torque and which makes rikshaw move forward. So, if same force is applied in the axel how does one wheel get different torque than other?

That is going to be the ultimate answer.

And the answer is... You guys try it. If you want to try on your own, stop right here. I will give the answer for HG and DWI and Gokul in Mathematics thread and later in this thread
