Parase ko baini kya khatara hai? heryo ki ta lathha huni!!! hai?
Ko mu** parase? Suresh asked.
"Tyai mu** Ratna Rajya school pachhadi ko kya... chinya chhaina....mu** army ma chha ni", Suman answered. mu** khattam chha yaar tyo ta...taanerai khattam bho yaar....je ni tandini re chha tyo mu**..
"Yeeeee..tyo mu**!, kina nachinnu...mero mama ko ta sathi mu** kina gatilo hunthyo?", Suresh commented.

Your mama, which one? Suman asked. "The youngest one", Suresh replied after making a couple of chakka out of his cigarette smoke then took a tea sip.

Suresh' s mama, Asim, was also in army. Paras and Asim were in Kharipati those days. One weekend Asim came over to Suresh's house. All saturday long he kept telling his stories about girls, love letters, and army training life there to Suresh. "mama mu** purai hawa chha yaar", Suresh added. Suman and Ujjwal were lsitening to Suresh and were also scanning the street for girls.

Once, Asim was after a Bhaktapure girl. He was doing all he could to win her over. After many tries he was getting positive responses from Poornima. "Poornima jasto chwank ta life ma dekhya chhaina...tyaslai ta naptyai hudaina", Asim hakka hakki told that to Suresh. "Lately the love story is in the 4th camp. Ready to hit the summit. Climax ma pugna la chha", he said with a proud smile. "After Poornima there is this Putali maiya", Asim revealed who is next in line. "Who is Putali maiya?" Suresh asked. "Khai nam ta ke ho raand ko but there are always bunch of putalis in the garden of her house".

"Do you know Poornima recently sent me a love letter written with her blood?", Asim asked. Suresh just swong his head horizontally. Asim took a badly folded letter out and showed the letter to Suresh. It was a short letter written in red words. Suresh did not get the chance to read all the words. Asim folded the letter back and put it back in a back pocket of his pants. "keta keti le love letter padhna hudaina", He preached to 17 years old Suresh. "Whatever", Suresh thought but asked ,"did you also reply her writing a letter with blood?" "Yes", Asim replied. "Were you not hurt when taking blood out?", Suresh was just curious. "Maile ta bhaisi ko blood le lekhera pathaidya",Asim laughed.

After the weekend stay, Asim was ready to leave for Khari pati. Suresh's mom (Asim's sis.) asked, "Asim, do you have your ID with you? otherwise they wont let you in, you were telling me". Asim rasied his right hand, patted on his left side chest pocket and said, "chha chha, kati janne hunu parne ni....yahi khalti ma chha".

"After one and half hour Asim mama called", Suresh said. Suresh's mom picked up the phone. Asim asked, "didi Suresh chha gharma?". "Chha kina?" Suresh's mom asked. Asim spoke,"tyo mero ID tyahi kata gharma chhutechha...diyera pathai dinu na..."

Paschim Posted on 06-Sep-02 09:07 AM

My question: where do all the putali maiyas go in the end? Putali khojdai hindne haru le putali bheteko ahile samma sunya chhaina. Really want to know what happens to all those putalis that excite us during our teens. Do they all end up being fat and bored housewives (or not) in Putali Sadak?
bideshi Posted on 06-Sep-02 11:21 AM

Paschim,
i also wonder whether those guys who used to be thin, with junge rekhi have turned fat, bhude with boring look and attitude. Why only girls?Certainly, guys don't remain young forever!hoina ra???????

Deep,

I did not quite get the story. In the end, mama asks his sister to have her son deliver his ID to him. Forgive me for being dense, which I am (ke garne? bhayekai kura), but I could not make connection between the story's body and conclusion. What does the forgotten ID have to do with ragat le lekheko love-letter and putali maiyas. Could you please enlighten me?

I like reading your stories, even taking guilty pleasure on reading the implied words behind the astericks and puctuation marks. Please keep it up.

In regards to that other long story about Indu, I must say I was little let down by the protagonist's impotency in your last story. Tell me that was a work of fiction.

Thanks.

Sangey.

Sangey!

If I am not mistaken, I still find some connection among putali maiyas, Id and Mama (cudos to my self imagination). Remember those old days where those sikutey (bulla bulla kera khayera weight pugeka) so called dosra leuitenant used to come home on fridays, all they wanted to do is just to show their chicken chatee to those putali maiyas, some being so boastful for their patey tawuko. No wonder they pretend to go to Pashupatee for some chandun just to have few glimpses on these ..maiyas. They used to fool us so much..ke gurney yaar..yasto pelawuncha, usto pelawuncha...2 bujey uthnu purcha, suteko belama panee khanawucha..kekekeke....So, the overwhelming pride for being uppallo darzako rikutey has some direct connection between their braging and forgetfulness (Id in this case). Of course! these putali maiyas being little catalyst impose an augmented root for their weekend chureefuree.

haina ta Deep?

Asim thought it was his ID, but turned out to be Putali Maiya's **** ragat le lekheko chithi

Sangey,

I was thinking of writing a good length story on Asim *mama*. He was a *hawa* character.

Will try to respond again, hai. I gotta go now. sorry!
sunnysideup Posted on 07-Sep-02 02:43 AM

nice. Lightheatred, funny and as real as you and me.
p.s.--> for guys who didnt understand the above writing,
there is nothing to it, really. What is at work here is not so much the characters , as deep's writing skills.
sunnysideup Posted on 07-Sep-02 02:45 AM

sorry, typo error
i meant light-hearted. Not lightheatred.
Damn that hennessy.
deep Posted on 07-Sep-02 10:22 AM

Sangey,

Actuall *will write later* bhanera pachhi lekhya pani thiye yatti lamo response but couldn't post. I kept getting error message.

Katha basically was on Asim. Usko katha lamo chha. But for now, I think I am gonna live him alone. Sunnysideup and Jira have observed well.

I guess you didn't enjoy 'mama' much...sorry! ke garne. yaspali yastai bho...mind nagara hai, sarkar?

It is really tough to read nepali in english letters. Should I read one more time? I lost my patience.
