robin dai, thanx a lot for putting the video on the web. it was indeed a good piece. I would not hesitate to say that 1974 AD is the best thing to happen to nepali music after narayan gopal. although they do not play a "typical" nepali music, their mixture of great guitar work and drums and banshuri is superberb. And they have some of the most touching lyrics to go with the music. I guess this is no secret now since lot of us have already witnessed this. We can also find variety in their music and songs. they have sang songs that ask the listeners to "bancha ani banchana deeoo" which could not have come in any better times. Or "pailo junima" where they sing about the "tita mitha jhajhalko haru" that we all experience in our lives that come as "geeta banera" at one point or another. Their english songs are also just as good. for example, GF Blues. And they are no less talented when it comes to folk songs like "umbo janda" supported by some great guitar tunes. and their remake of "jati maya laye pani" is flawless.(if u have u listened to the remake done by Robin and Looza then you know what i am talking about). And their new song "nepali", particuarly made for the US tour, i belive, touches me more than our national anthem ever could. thus i would like to thank the band for coming out here and performing for us. the 13 hour trip to dallas to see them perform was surely worth it. enjoy the farewell show in dc this weekend. wish i could be there. PS. desperately waiting to hear their remake of narayan gopal's "khai mitho baata gara" Suman Dhakal
