Hi Anaconda,

Everyone knows that he is a murderer and corrupt, but you would say my dad was great, if you were a son/daughter of Bijay Kumar.

Do whatever you think the best for you with out harming others. I do not support him anymore, but he is a successful politian in Nepal. I had met him, while I was in TU. He was nice to us.

Ritu,
How do you define "successful" ? Just because he has money, he is successful? common give me a break here. I did see your other postings and I have to agree with hahaguru. You do like to support corrupt people as long as they are rich.
And of course he was nice to you, because he is corrupt and I bet he gives" extra" niceness to women..

Anyway.

Undoubtedly, Bijay Gachchadar is one of the most corrupt (if not the most corrupt) politicians in Nepal. Back in the days when he was communication minster, I was working at Nepal Telecomm (NTC). He distributed lots and lots of phone lines on his 'Tok Aadesh'. Rumour was that he used to charge Rs 50,000 per phone line. There were hundreds of people waiting for phone line in queue for upto 10 years. I recall Pradip Nepal saying 'if a person who used to have his slippers stiched by a cobbler could buy aeroplanes (Bijay and/or his family owns an airlines) in 10 years, without starting a business or industry, where can we find a better example of corruption.' It seems he saw Bijay getting his slippers stiched in Itahari back in Panchayat days. I have myself seen and 'hello'ed Bijay Gachchadar in Biratnagar during Panchayatkal.I enjoy uncovering these a**holes (corrupt Nepali politicians) and love to hear some first hand examples from others.

I heard this a long time ago. Before the advent of democracy in Nepal, Bijay was a student leader in Morang. He used to wear hatti chhapp chappal. It was his trademark. One day in Kathmandu, JAmal office of NC, he met Girija and requested him to buy a chasma(spectacles) for him since he was wearing an almost broken one. Then Girija told him to get in the car and took him to New Road and bought him a chasma. This was before 2046.You all know his present status.

Mr/Mrs jhor,

You must be a supporter of NC, otherwise UML. What do you think of the achievement of Bijay Kumar Gachhaddhar?

Well, he was a poor man. He got to be elected for Parliaments and got to be a Minister in different periods and time in Nepal. I would say that he was a successful politician in Nepal. He is a successful politician in NC. He is successful because he wants to carry a political career in his life which he has done with a plesant way. Opponents of Bijay can accuse in any mean.
