On average about 700 people visit the site every day. But the number of active posters is much smaller. Would you say 20? Maybe 25? A rather low number.
Is it possible to jack up the traffic from 700 to 7000 per day? How?

I suspect some of the unique visitors may be campus students using different computers within the campus to view sajha.com. Also home users will have different ip every time they login.
Taking this into account, there might be a much less actual viewers of sajha- say around 200- 400.
But this is an ideal mumber! Any more and we will be looking at postings of 20 per minute. At this rapid rate of firing of posts, it will not be possible to judiciously select interesting postings. Also before you get a chance of viewing a good post, it would have dissapeared into oblivion. :0)

you might extend an invitation to the nepal-loving denizens of soc.culture.nepal. they really love to post most actively. i hear sage radachomsky hangs there nowadays. he's your man, ji.

Also I think paramendra has been a little conservative on the number of active posters. I would say the number may be closer to fifty.
People don't have to Fire posts daily to be considered active, do they? We all know the bane of info-clutter in this info age.

Paramendra... will you give it up?? What does it matter who the hell are top 20,40 50 posters are?? Discriminate the "top twenty star posters" or something?? trying to say who are active is quite understandable then again he does on if you have to rank top 20 how would you do it....BULLSHIT!!!.... so much for sajha being a sajha site.... for the people ....by the people and to the people...???

I was trying to see if there are some active usernames that I have missed entirely. The front page is not the best place to discover those talents. When I first heard of "suna," for example, I realized she was an active member, but I had missed her postings the longest time. And I was just wondering if there were others like her.

If you think active users are only those who come to this website and throw their piece of rotten brain cells "laata le baa bhanna napako jasto", thinking that they are as gray as Agatha Christie's brain cell, then I wonder -- about your intellectuality. I've been coming to this site since the day it was born -- when it was only "gbnc.org", not the sajha.com. I come to this website atleast twice a day everyday. I usually read the posting's here -- use the various links provided by the website. Doesn't that make me ACTIVE USER?? I hardly post the message, because I might not have as much time as you have -- much spare time. Does that make me LESS ACTIVE user??

I think the most interesting ACTIVE USERS these days are OYESTER, DEEP, SITARA, DIVA_STARS, NK, EBONY FIREFLY -- and they got brain more than you do -- It's just that some people don't have to show it...
