After ten years of association with the GBNC, all ten of which saw male presidents of GBNC, I think it would be nice to see the organization led by a woman... With the election coming up in less than a month, I would like to ask the women of the Boston area to consider running for the presidential election. It would be especially nice to see some of the hardest working members of the present council like Neesha or Rubeena running for president. - a voter.

Nisha for president, GBNC. Can anybody set up a site for Nisha2002? Seriously, she deserves it.

Arnico, I'm glad you brought up this issue. I think a woman president at GBNC would be great. Those who want to run this year should definitely do so, and those who want to do so in the future years should consider running for one of the council positions so they get an inside look on what it takes. I highly encourage the many talented women in our community to consider doing so. While being a council member requires a lot time commitment, patience and so many other things, it also gives you an opportunity to meet many people that you would have never met otherwise. It gives you a chance to do something instead of just worrying or talking about problems and issues. It gives you a chance to give back to the community we all live in and are a part of. So, I encourage those of us who can to run for office to step forward and do so. Especially women. Bik.

Yeah I hope these women would show people how an organiztion should be run. THe past few presidents have been of a very lackluster attitude. And we hope that at least this year we can clelebrate New years on New years eve instead of a month latr as the past 2 years. And the past president promised a lotta changes that did not take place. Yeah And I also hope that current president balances the checks before he leaves(unlike the previous president).

I thought PRASANNA DHUNGEL is going to be GBNC's next President but NISHA is another great choice. This is the first time in GBNC's history that we have more than one qualified candidates going head to head. That's Great !! Otherwise remember those old days when we had no one willing to run for the President and we had to pressure them to run for the President ? I don't know.... seems like we're heading in RIGHT DIRECTION. It's a good thing , hoina ra ? By the way, when is the PRIMARY ELECTION ?
