Trying to determine which CD-RW External Drive is right for me in terms of PRICE and PERFORMANCE. My budget: Under $100 Deneros. Any brand names on mind? Your sincere opinion needed. Thankx

There is another similar model for about $ 20 more.
All told, its not a bad deal.

This one is the slightly pricier model, but seems to be in stock. The model listed in the previous post is sold out it seems.
With a record speed of 24x, it should take a little under 5 mins to record an audio CD.
One problem I have faced with external drives is buffer under runs, and the best solution is to reduce the record speed to from 24x to 16 or 8x, and use the Test & Write option. It may add to the record time, but it works.
