A COMB??? Who is in charge of that decision--the writers for Jay Leno or David Letterman? Would you vote for a COMB? Here are my Top 10 Suggestions for an election symbol that would be more appealing to Deuba & friends than The Comb: 10) The Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow 9) The Kwell (anti-lice shampee) 8) The Pin (to stick into voodoo dolls of Koirala) 7) The Pajero 6) Kamadhenu 5) The Duct Tape (to hold the country together) 4) The U.S. Visa (That would get 'em to the polls) 3) The Elephant (people might think they're voting for Bush) 2) The House Divided, which Cannot Stand And our number 1 suggestion ... 1) The Endangered Species (a perfect symbol for democracy in Nepal)

Not a bad symbol. A very handy tool among Nepalis. [ Leekha, jumra ra chaya le chilayeko bela goji bata kaiyo jhikera tauka ma kudauna kamti maja aaudaina! ] However, "Chet bhako changa" is what they should have gotten from EC as the symbol. No?

Deep, Sounds good to me. Chet bhako Paan Butte....that will be great as Dashain is around the corner and the election if it were to take place is not too far off. It the changa as a symbol would be quite appropriate.

I still prefer my Kwell Shampoo (or "shampee" ... argh) for jumra le chilayako bela, cuz at least it addresses the cause rather than merely the symptoms. Which would kind of be a novel idea. Or maybe Jeevan Jal ... naaaah, don't wanna go there.

Sally, yeah, Kwell better addresses leekha jumra itch but what our leaders want is a temporary solution for a problem not a permanent one . So, kaiyo is better than Kwell. But my choice is "chet bhako changa" and I stand by it ;-) I seriously doubt Deuba guru would accept the symbol but still when we're talking about an appropriate symbol for Deuba and the co. I couldn't come up with anything better than "chet bhako changa". Dirk, yeah, chet bhako paan butte huh? good one. That "paan" should also hold three initials GPK. ki kaso?

Yes, "Chet bhako changa" or "PAJERO" or "dhungro: ko ekcheuma kukkur chhirna lageko and arko cheuma hayena"............ would be good representative symbols for NC-D.Party "Chet bhako changa" : as already explained, well known, Deoba a chet bhako PL from NCP. PAJERO : pajero culture introduced by Deoba. "dhungro: ko ekcheuma kukkur chhirna lageko and arko cheuma hayena" : 2046 agadi bhusyaha kukkur jasto bihan beluka khan ko lagi pani napugne kuttaharu, aaj hayena jasto 80km/hr ma hunting garchan, don't leave pigg (boar)'S Baccha to elephant to Lions. .. creativity of Election symbol should also be appreciated? The election comission is so dumb, or they are drained of all symbols. IF they don't have anything in mind, they would have gone to eBay and traded it with the symbols used for goods..... Anyway, its so funny, and disappointing to hear the creativity. If its not creative, but, a slap on Deoba, its a proof that Nepal and Nepali political leaders were spoiled bureaucrats. Nepali Bureaucrats are the main peoples who taught how to take bribes and "shesta milaune tricks"... It is another trick the RED tapes are playing game. Well, I don't like Deoba groups, where CW is 2nd man. But, Pajero and Bangkok tour ... to CWCA, Lauda all kanda were masterminded by Bureauocrats, using their cuning mind learned in Panchayat system. .............. HG
