Dear All,

"Sada jiwan uchcha bichaar", "Sano mukh thulo kura" kahi ke bhanne? I am toatly confused. Becuase these days in this planet most of the people are learned scholar in their own way. everybody is a philosophor for oneself. So one has to think a lot before he or she wants to convince other people about the new and probably good ideas.
i am doing here the same thing and hopefully I will succeed in that.

we all know democracy and its meaning (though it differs from person to person). It is amazing that Democracy in Nepal has been established and re established 4 times if I remember correctly. 2007 saal, 17 saal, 37 saal and 46 saal. Each those years were milestones for our country as far as so called democracy is concerened. Shishu Prajatantra is long dead in Nepal now. No mantri or PM or neta now uses that phrase, nomore. Because country is on the verge of establishing another democracy better version in Nepal. By the end of this century our country would be the leading country in this planet for implementing various versions of democracy in this short period of time.

Once I had gaffgaaf with Budhdijiwi haru. The final conclusion of each of those meeting was " nepaliharuma chetana aaunuparchha". That's it. I believe all nepali are chetansil nagarik. They need no more chetana. Whatever they is more than enough. Only way to change their attitude is to bring all the corrupt officilas and mantris and businessman to justice in front of the people. They should all face firing squad in Tundikhel in front of janata janardan. It is the only punitive major. Because "Shree Krishna has said in gita that papi and danav charitra should be killed for the betterment of gau prani (sidha sada manis). Lets do that.

I request you all to post the name of all who you think shoul dbe punished. Lets start with .............

I want you guys to make a list. I will be back with more examples of corruption in Nepal. I mean real inside informations. Stay tuned. They are really shocking.

Bye for now
Take care and think about the list.

Hi,
I agree! What you are trying to say is our system has failed us.
Greed is one of our biggest enemy. When we got our 46 sal democracy, all of us had high hopes that these leaders who seemed to have sacrificed their lives would do good for the country and set a precedent.Instead they plundered the country's wealth to such an extent that it seems when they die they will take all to 'hell' with them. This includes even those who can see their death round the corner(look at their age!).

Now what do we do?The system has failed because majority of us are corrupt.Otherwise why do we elect those leaders who, a day before election, distribute raksi and masu to their constituents. Or maybe we are so poor that we only think of the food ahead. May be we are uneducated and do not understand what is right or wrong for us!

Now, the question is what do we do? Go for the option of firing squad as you have suggested? All too often, it is seen that once the leader of firing squad gets the power, he too becomes corrupt. The living example is today's Maoists leaders. The other day I heard that one of them bought gold for his wife from the money they looted from a bank. And this even before so called people's Government is established.I am dreading the day they come to power. It will be a disaster for our society.

What I am trying to say is going on a killing spree is not a solution.Instead we should have a system of check and balance; and system of accountability. They should be identified and punished by constitutional means. We, as a society. should also discourage this. Why is their social status so high instead of them being a social outcasts? Why should they be treated any differently from drug lords?

My feeling is, ultimately we will learn and get it right, but when?

Tabponski, ARE you literally saying that the corrupt people should be murdered? or r u just suggesting that they face total embarrassment infront of a huge crowd and then a long prison term appropriate for their crime.

Aludai is totally CORRECT in saying that "going on a killing spree is not a solution".

Amerika, which seems to be at the peak of prosperity does not kill or maim its white-collar criminals. A person who murders another albeit for crimes the other fellow has commited is still considered a criminal and is tried by law.

A person who goes against LAW in avenging against today's criminals will not have any more respect for the LAW OF THE LAND. He will start feeling invincible (sort of like castro's story). Thus a dictator will rise plunging our country once again into the rana sasan like darkness.

There are just too many people involved in minor to major corruption in Nepal. This corruption breaks the caste mould and is wide-spread among all power-holders. There is at present no effective check-and-balance system within the law in our country. This system must be strengthened. A corrupt policeofficer should be tried in court but infront of the TV and radio crew. So that all other would-be corrupt people will desist from the temptation of corruption.

Also justice should be short and swift! When I say that-it doesn't mean kill the suspect on the spot. How do we know the accuser himself/herself is not a criminal trying to seek revenge against an innocent person.

But we the janata should be made aware of the verdict of the justice system against each and every accused. No body should be able to escape the brunt of the justice system. I personally think that we should even seek and bring justice to all those corrupt people who commited their crime decades ago. Why should they be sheltered from JUSTICE. NO 'CORRUPT' should find any loop hole in the system. If such a loop hole is found then they should be immediately sealed.

We should be able to extradite even those criminals who has sought shelter in foreign land.
