Hey, What happened to nepalisong.net? Did it suffer the same fate as sajha.com was about to face?
I used to visit that site quite often in search of few good Nepali songs. That site was the best site in terms of music selection and quality.
Alas, the days of free internet and other things seems to have gone.

Long time not visited that site. Sad to hear about the fate of that site
though, because I used to visit that site frequently in the past. Let's
hope this is a temporary problem.

I listened to some songs there about 10 days ago. They were there. However, the site had more problems to download the songs into the real player.
Speculations about its non-functioning now:
1. The host refused to serve for free.
2. Janaki ji is tired of paying bills to carry that site.
3. Technical prolem with the site
4. Copy right issues that Janaki ji had to deal recently.
Whatever the reasons are, I hope the site will be back soon...

Nepalisong.net was a very good site and I used to listen to songs by aruna lama to arun thapa to nepathya. Janaki ji had indeed contributed a lot to the nepali society living far from their Homeland.
While other nepali song sites had mushroomed lately they don't offer the same class and quality as nepalisong.net used to. Hope any problems gets sorted out and we can once again listen to music from our homeland!

You know,Biruwa, I am still listining to the songs from Nepalsong.net. In fact, I am listening to a song right now! Although the web site doesn't exist anymore, the hyperlinks were saved by me beforehand, because I didn't trust the fact that the site would last long. But alas! I can't give you the hyperlinks because I don't know how! I had saved the songs as playlist and I can't send a playlist! I'm sorry :-(

That's alrite Desh_Bhakta ji,
I have loads of work set out for the week. Hope by the time the week ends the site will be up and running.
BTW, the playlist saves as a file in u're computer. The extension is usually M3U and PLS. So u could upload the file to some site from which ppl could download it. But even if u can't that's ok!
I did bring some Nepali cassettes when I came here so I'll listen to them for the time being.
