Your school should have some sort of graduation invitation form that you can get at the international center/office (at least mine did). Fill out the form and send that to your family. You may have to notarize and get it signed by some designated personnel at the school. With that form my parents easily got the visa. If the school does not have the invitation forms, ask them to write a letter explaining the intent of the visit and details re graduation and i heard that too, works. Good luck.

Santoshji, In my parents case, the graduation invitation form was all they submitted besides visa application. So they may not require the bank statements, but does not hurt to take them. Btw, i am a woman :) not a man--but i do understand your confusion as the username is not gender specifically obvious.

send all of your transcripts, copy of passport pages, I-20 and I-9. If you've received academic awards, send copies of those too. Those documents are not necesasary but they might come in handy when your parents apply.

hello everyone, I'm a US citizen and what kind of documents do I need to bring my folks here for a visit. I was thinking to do the status change when they get here. Do I send the documents to the embassy or to my parents? Right now I have photocopies of my passport, citizenship certificate, bank statement. Anything else needed? Thanks
