Sick and tired of having to read about nothing but the shakesparean drama of
nepali poltical parties, and the barbarian acts of the self proclaimed people's
people, the maoists, i had written the following snippet in one of the nepalese
discussion boards:
" fascist koirala sent back in time to nazi concentration camps,
briddha bachelor bhattarai tortured by thirty six vamps,
cunning madhav ku ne captured for dinner by jackals,
gundalistic danka khadga oli imprisoned in shackles.
rusty prachanda digging for oil in the desert of middle east,
maobadis gladiating in rome with a hungry hungry beast."
"Man, if you start writing such nonsense about the Maoists, the Maoists will
punish you once you go to Nepal. That is for sure, " was the response i got there
from one of the contributors. No mention was made of the possible retribution
from the leaders of the major political parties. fear for only the maobadis was
expressed. Then it dawned upon me how big, " the small packs of vandalisers and
merciless killers led by a leader who has no clue what the real objective or the
final destination of his supposed people's revolution is" have become. The maoists
have indeed reached "frankesteinen" proportions today.
And there was one posting in another nepalese discussion board saying that
maoists have declared a ban on wearing pants (trousers) among girls in Nepal.
The authenticity of posting is as yet unclear to me, as someone said that it was
real, and the other person had no idea about it. But i wouldnt be surprised if
prachanda snapped some day and proclaimed
that.. And i wouldnt be surprised either if people obeyed that.. The maoists' fear
is widespread now, and they have become today's larger than life gabbar singhs
in nepal. " suta babu. nabhaye maobadi aauchha." That bugaboo ought to work in
the country now. I had heard somewhere that you should fear crazy maniacs; for
they might do anything. That can be applied to the maoists as well. That's
exactly what is happening with the maoists issue with minor proportions of
revolutionists gone crazy becoming the big feared bullies.
It is saddening and pathetic that the maoists are acting thus..playing around
with people's minds and lives for unrealistic goals they will never achieve. And its
even more saddening that we are having to fear a bunch of barbaric zealots.
Thanks to the maobadis, Nepal is again in the headlines through out the world.
While before the very name of Nepal was synonymous with peace, today the
very word "Nepal" when used in the same sentence with "peace" looks so out of
place. Detest them for that, and once again,
"rusty prachanda diggin for oil in the desert of middle east,
maobadis gladiatin in rome with a hungry hungry beast. "
amen to that,
n peace n development in nepal.
