King assumes executive powers, dismisses Deuba
King Gyanendra assumed executive powers after dismissing Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Friday night, he said in an address to the nation at 10:45 PM.
The King also suspended the November 13 elections. The King charged Deuba as "inept' for failure to hold elections as scheduled.
