Khukri XXX Rum wins GOLD AWARD at the International Rum Festival 2002
Khukri XXX Rum has won the prestigious GOLD AWARD at the recently concluded International Rum Festival 2002 that was held in St. Johns, New Foundland, Canada.

The festival was from 1st to 5th September 2002.There were more than 150 rums, many more rums than in the festival’s 13 year old history. What started as a Caribbean Rum Festival has taken the shape on a truly international dimension. According to IRF 2002 Executive Director Tim Forsythe, this year’s event was the most successful event ever in the rum industry history.

Distillers from Nepal, Australia, Bermuda, Belize, Jamaica, Panama, Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, Antigua, Ecuador, Nicaragua, St. Lucia, Cayman Islands, United States of America and Canada comprised of a global community that showcased more rums under one roof than most people have seen in a lifetime.

Despite stiff competition from well known global brands such as Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Navy’s, Goslings, Lambs amongst others, Khukri XXX Rum was the GOLD AWARD WINNER.

This is most memorable moment for the liquor industry of Nepal as it is put Nepal very firmly on the RUM MAP of the world. During the course of the public tasting sessions of the above festival, the Canadians got to sample the exquisite Nepal Rum, Khukri XXX Rum and was loved by all.

Khukri XXX Rum has been the best selling Rum of Nepal since 1959. The Award has proved that the Khukri XXX Rum is a Global Award Winner and a favorite of rum aficionados from around the world.

There is no wonder I miss Khukuri rum. Thado ghaati lagayera Sauni ko momo pashal ma khukuri ko quarter taanya, with fried momo as snacks..... "Woh din yaad karo".

That bottle of "KHUKURI" looks classic. Nobody has bottle like that.

I was really delighted when i heard this news. Is there any way i can get to taste that rum here in states? Why are the rum people so silent? I can be the authorised distributor of the rum for the states. :--)
