Hey parmendra, Thanks God !!............. you mentioned his name........................... I was very much impressed with Shanker Lamichhane. My first reading of his kriti was "Abstract Chintan Pyaj". I was 17 years old. And I started to read his books and kabitas. |

Well, when I was in 9th and 10th grade, our English teacher was Bhim Darshan Rokka. From a good friend of mine, then I came to know Bhim Darshan Rokka, Bhupi Sherchan and Shankhar Lamichhane were close friends " Jaand Khane sathi". My friend also gave me works of Bhupi Sherchan and Shankar Lamichanne. At that time, I read Abstract Chintan Pyaj. I am not a literature buff( thus my reading in literature is very limited) but so far I haven't found powerful essayist like him in Nepali literature. Just like Bhairab Aryal, I heard he took his own life. It's good to see his work in Nepali Times. |
