Sorry friends for copying and pasting the article from the ktm post. The intensity of this article made me do so, during the last few days we've been talking about preserving our democracy and let the corrupt selfish leaders lead the country. I hope this peice of writing will help us think that all we need for now is "SECURITY"...... Where sons dare not attend their father’s funeral Post Report SINDHUPALCHOK, Oct 4 The sons of two Nepali Congress (NC) activists of Jyamire VDC killed by Maoist rebels could not observe death rites of the deceased due to the security situation. Even the local well-wishers and relatives were unable to visit the bereaved families out of fear of the Maoists. After abducting the duo from their houses on September 27 Maoist rebels had brutally killed NC activists, Mitra Bahadur Danuwar and Chhatra Bahadur Giri. The Maoists have threatened to kill the sons of the deceased too, according to family sources. "While the Maoists have threatened to kill anyone who participated in the funeral procession, how could my son be safe here?" questioned a sad Tulasa Giri, widow of Chhatra Bahadur Giri. The elder son of deceased Giri is an army personnel who has been mourning the death of his father in Kathmandu. "The fear keeps gripping my heart. Nothing is sure here, anything can happen and at any moment," said Pahalman Bahadur Giri, 86, the father of the deceased. "In what age are we living where man kills his own fellow beings? What harm had my son done to anybody that they had to kill the supporter of my old age?" questioned the aged father of the deceased Giri. The two sons of the late Danuwar are also unable to return home out of fear of Maoist reprisals. "The Maoists have threatened not to spare even the sons," said Prem Bahadur Danuwar, brother of the deceased Danuwar.
