King appoints Devkota next cabinet chairman
KOL Report
KATHMANDU, Oct 9 – King Gynendra today appointed Rajeshwor Devkota, former Panchayat minister, the person to lead the next cabinet to be announced on Friday, according to royal palace statement. The announcement was made through state-owned Radio Nepal at 11 PM after the two met. There has been no official comment from political parties concerning this royal decision. It is still not known whether the king or chairmain-appoint would name council of ministers. It is also unclear as to what the king's role be in the government. King on Thursday has invited Devkota to discuss about the cabinet to give it a final shape.

King Gyanendra flies to Gorkha
Everytime I read this headline in Nepalnews.com, I tend to read "King Gyanendra flees to Gorkha". Don't know why? byan ta chhati pani dhakka garyo? Bhagera jhan ke maobadi ko aakhada tira lagya hola bhanera!
Kasto....flies re chha flees dekhira!

mitra 2 ---------- no, not his size. That guy is a Pancha who never repented. I mean, that is a joke. The world has moved on. The country is not about to go back to the Panchayat days.
If Devkota gets appointed by the king, that would polarize all the parties against the monarchy. And then who knows what. I hope King G is not that stupid. Like Kalidas axing away the branch he is sitting on.

I told my brother and he was like, why would he flee to Gorkha? He might encounter Maoists there.
