Biruwa, this banner is Paramendra's attempt to generate some income for himself. It is referenced by his own Affiliate ID so that anyone buying at that site will generate him some percentage. This is a demonstration of Paramendra's cheap tactics in order to make some money for himself. He has put that banner up not only in this but other thread as well - all in the name of informing san - which he could have done by email. Down with Paramendra's cheap tactics to use this sajha space. Keep your banners in your own site. |

Even the people who own this site are not making $$ and are asking for donations. But Paramnedra seems to be one step ahead of everyone in the course of using people. I think he would make a real shitty politician. He talks about big things, then takes a about turn and then stabs you right in the back if it profits him. We do not need another Politicians like him, we have enough of those kinds of people already. I hope his political career is DOA...Like it said above YOU CANNOT TRUST THIS GUY. |

(1) I don't blame the inflamed anti-profit passions expressed. The three largest parties in the country are socialist/communist. And the Maoists have captured a quarter of the country. There are about a dozen other communist outfits. The influence has not been exemplary on the Nepali diaspora. (2) I am NO Maoist. (3) Btw, has anyone checked out the posters? Before any of us embark any further on abusing Parmendra, lets keep the following in mind: - Save for one person, does anyone here realize that one needs Parmendra's express written consent prior to posting his picture? If not, coupled with the comments, the actions can be construed as defamation. Actionalbe by law. This is assuming Parmen is not the litigious kind. What if he is ? Do we want to subject SAN da Man to all of this ? Its his website, and I dont see anyplace where we clicked on legal disclaimers pursuant to posting absolving anybody of anything. - I do not agree with Parmendra's politics or his views. Yet, isn't diversity a virtue too? It gives me pause for thought and reflection, to evaluate perchance any biases I may harbour. - Attack his views, engage him in debate, illustrate that his politics are erroneous. WHY ATTACK THE MAN? I did and quickly realized that it was wrong of me to do so, and I apologized without any reservations. - Abuse is a self-defeating stategy. It elevates him to the moral high ground by the mere fact that he hasn't uttered obscenities. - Why not exercise the option of ignoring him ? What if he doesn't see the light in one miraculous moment and proclaims Eureka ? What then ? Given that Dilasha Distillery is operating under Chapter 11 bankruptsy protection, we dont have the option of Sitara beer now. Harpic was tried, didn't work. - What if he dreams of coverting to his dogma enmasse ? When do you figure thats going to happen ? Five minutes before hell freezes over ? Or the day he's inaugurated Governor of Oregon ? Letting him have it with both barrels. Yet, shall we all disagree without being disagreeable ? Do lets. It is, after all, dasain. |

Czar, thanks for those words. Makes a lot of sense. I am glad you make that fine legal point. No, I am not the litigous kind. And I don't even mind negative comments about me. If someone does not like me (let alone my ideas), fine. It just amazes me what one small banner can get going! Banners are the future of the online media. Wait until broadband becomes mainstream! It is just that I hope we all try and do the best for this online community. And colorful vocabulary does not seem to help. Personal attacks also a leave a bad taste in the mouth of the readers. It looks like not everyone can stick to debating ideas. And a few personal comments might crop in, but those are best kept to the minimum.
