hi mates hi to u all. i have posted the poem written by kashi ram gurung but who is unknown to me . and this poem is quite heart touching which i s very much related to me!!!it could be one of ur story as well for those who r overseas . thank you Dashain": ----------------------------------------------------- The sky is blue, rivers are clear, They know happiest time is coming near. Wow, Dashain, you are on your way, But we (PARADESHI) are thousands of miles away. The whole Nepal is welcoming you, dear, Everyone is forgetting his or her anxieties & fear. I wish I could give you a cheer, But poor me, just have eyes full of tear. Please, Dashain, while on your way, I have urgent message, can you convey? To my sweet mom and dad, A few words of souvenir I had. “Hi mom, hi dad, how do u do? Couldn’t come home, so writing to you. You may be expecting me at the airport, But all I have is exam, work & homework. Friends may ask if I made this time, Relatives may ask if I could dine. Please, tell them this year too, There was nothing I could do. Swing & jackpot we used to play, To me it looks like yesterday. I still remember jokes & laughs today, We enjoyed all day like we had no other day. When you don’t get my letter, Don’t think I like this foreign land better. Can you imagine how much I miss you? But mom, there is nothing I can do. Every time I talk with you, I cry, No more tears left, eyes are dry. I may not be able to make a call, But dad, don’t feel my absence at all. Now I’m learning to bear the pain, Of being far, far away once again. My family, society and the nation, Have a hope on me & my determination. I hope this Dashain will bring you wealth, Happiness, prosperity and good health. I promise I will see you next year, Bye mom, bye dad, you take care.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By: K.
