Shree Sajhapur ka nagarik haru: Now that we have a new PM, (and PM ko pani bhatiji, bhanji etc ta holan ni... hehe), how about a fund raiser for Sajha.com? This dashain and tihar would be perfect occassion to get together, spread the word, and pass the hat around. Anyone interested in exploring this further? _d

Nice idea San!!! btw where is this GBNC party? I would like to be there if its near my place.....Is it in boston?? Then I won't be able to go there tomorrow..definitely some other time....i hope your plan gets appreciated by everyone..this site has been an excellent medium for spending my leisure hours....though i dont have that much ample time to be in this site and read the posting....but whenever i have been here, its always been a pleasure reading those interesting bulletins....those views and analysis from paschim, ashu, paramendra, czar, those very well written comments from sitara, anepalikt, simplegal, and others, those humours from dhumbasse, jira, oys_chill, ra saathi haru...deep dai's great narrations....and many many other postings... Whenever I come to this site, I get a feeling that there are lots of great talents here and those all sajhaites(is what i want to refer them) are all from Nepal...Its great, its wonderful, its splendid!!!!!!! I must say you have done a great job with your hard work and dedication in making this site a majestic place to be in....I remember one time I was totally drunk at night when I came to this site...I don't want to say the names, but I was trying to reply to somebody, my posting didn't got posted and I was so furious towards you and wrote a mail to you..I hope you haven't forgotten that mail...I don't know what I wrote but after I send that mail to you, I regretted very much....I shouldn't have said all that offensive and ridiculous things...the way you replied to me.....amazing!! after I said all those things, you still were very polite, cool, calm and and tenacious....it amazes me when I even think that the amount of mail you must have received with so many people coming in this site time and again and ofcourse you might have received offensive words.. So San, dont want to say anything further....you have done a great job...Thank you very much for everything.... You ROCK. Period.

San dai, I was thinking of making it a monthlong drive to coincide with Dashain and Tihar, where new visitors are invited to visit this site, and asked to donate. Paypal thing that you had would be useful. Sajha dot com could use its email database to e-mail all registered users to solicit funds. All Nepal/Nepali sites featured here (rmfn, nnsociety, etc) could be asked to post information re: sajha dot com and the fund raiser.... How about setting up a goal.. say 500 dollars (after paypal charges) during this period.. and see how far we can go... _diwas

“Yo hallai halla ko desh ho…” – Bhupi Sherchen. “Yo kurai kura ko…” First of all a few words praising San: Though I am not expert managing websites I could imagine volume of works to manage sajha.com that need not only time and dedication but also patience. I know this site only for a few months but I have spent a lot of time, including late evening to early next morning and office hours (luki chhipi) visiting it. When I read visitor’s statistics I knew I was one of the largest contributors to raise the number of hours on line in my region. I am very happy that San has removed the automatic display of the visitor’s name on the screen. It was irritating, especially when I was exposed to my colleagues! I spent a lot of time to search the cookie in my office computer and finally I succeeded to remove it and stopped to login from office computer. I still don’t dare to login to sajha.com from office… I had complained this issue in sajha forum and San responded positively. I am not sure if I was the only one to lodge the complaint. Honestly speaking, I did not think San should spend his time to modify the site just to satisfy one visitor. I appreciate very much, San. Same as most of the visitors, I had the misimpression that this site is financed by GNBC. Suddenly I read San’s warning that this site might go offline because of financial problem. Though I might live without this site I can’t accept loosing sajha.com because of cash problem. A lot of sajha bhaktas working in USA earn enough money to make a small but great contribution. I was wondering why San’s closed friend (assuming others had no idea) did allow him bear all the cash cost. His free of charge management contribution is already too much to be expected by the sajha bhaktas. What about overheads? While pointing others for their failure to make a contribution I find myself among them. Here stops my dream of serving my country. It is taking patriotism but doing nothing. It seems that I need to worry more about my family than the situation in my country and the world as my wife lectures me when she is angry with me. Here stops my cash contribution! I feel sorry for myself. I read diwas k suggesting to collect 500 dollars. I believe it is only a small amount in rich countries like USA. For working Nepricans it is only small goal. (Judging from the response to this forum it seems the goal is too high!) But without idea on actual cash cost for web hosting in USA my comment is weightless (in space, not in real world!). While San’s self wouldn’t let him to ask for contribution DK has done it for him. Thanks DK for the call. I don’t like flattering nor do I like flattered. This is one of my shortcomings that makes my job difficult sometimes in real life. I mean my praise for San’s contribution comes from deep inside my heart. All this bhumika is for considering (just considering!) to make a small contribution. I have no idea how much paypal charge (my contribution might be just enough for minimum charge!) for the transaction, whether there is any extra cost (I am not in USA) etc. and I am shy of using credit card in the cyber world.

There seems to be lots of self appointed reporters who want to emulate M.P. If sajha was to shutdown, you'd hear from the sajha admin. I think that's how it works here.
