oys chil i tried to reply you on the thread you started but couldn't. so, here's mah replahhh you are right! people talk, people make plans here but can they really translate those plans/their precious ideas into actions. NO! you have to be in Nepal and struggle to make your way to the top and then only, you can put your desh bikash garne plans into action. everyone is critical of everything that's been going on in nepal, seems like the sajha intellectuals have turned staunch marxists overnight and believe in "ruthless criticism of all that exists". no hope anywhere. hope-less, asha maru this is being less confident and when people with low confidence come to power, they won't be able to make decisons. tyasaile sajha mirtra haroo be confident, be optimists. when you are abroad and when you read the news, everything looks scary but what do people think in nepal? they don't really care. the king appointed a new cabinet, people are hopeful that this cabinet will be able to deliver and everyone is just happy except for the UML comgressis and others who like parasites sucked the blood out of nepal for 12 years. and i don't find myself contradicting what you wrote.. ok, how many of us have actually done anything for nepal? sajha board ma message post garera yoiu can't hope to change nepal overnight, can you? you have to get involved in the politics, see and hear what people really want. you can't apply theories and principles of hobbes and locke, marx and lenin, mao or che and say ok if not this, this should happen and what i say doesn't happen, its pushing nepal backwards.. its a blow to our shisu prajatantra blah blah blah. this is why i always say, if you want to talk about nepali politics, you have to get out of the box, think what the ground realities are. be in nepal (if possible) work here, experience how the bureaucracy here operates .. ok enough

Gays/Gals......... I am glad King is taking the power slowly and slowly. I just want to say to you gays/ gals that: Don’t stay behind the wall and bark. If you are true nationalist/patriots, just go to Nepalese village and educate the people who doesn’t know how to practice the democracy. Nothing is going to change in Nepal by barking within sajha territory. LC Chand is Mr. Clean with no black smudge throughout his career. We must be optimist about the new formed government. We should be wishing for their success in this context of Nepal, rather than disparaging them behind the veil. Why do you always have to be morose and pessimist about whoever comes to form the government. Tell me who will best fit to preside over Nepal? Give me a single name. Mr X, Ms Y, Mr Z……….. ? Whoever comes to form the government, your off-putting comments are already ready!!! Haina ta???? I know that you have good knowledge of reading books. Some of you might be graduated from Harvard; some of you might be from Stanford; some of you from other big institutions….but don’t try to apply your principles of books to the current situation of Nepal. Sometimes, you have to hop out of your values and principles and become practical. Theories and principles do not seem to be working in the developing country like Nepal. Nepal right now is in-deed in need of authoritarianism/despotism. That can only be possible by the overpower of the King G in this context. You live in the manson of glasses, so don’t try to throw the rock to others. Know how to be united and perform your patriotism. Since most of you live in the US, you know how American people got united against the terrorist act on 9/11 devastation. So, we need to realize the lack of patriotism on us. I think we should give the positive feedback to the new government. KALANIDHI UCLA
