With the way things are right now, there is not much that can be done in verifying a Who's-Who list in newsgroups, unless it is the FBI looking for some lone teenager named Coolio.
But the choice is entirely ours.. to respond to such (derogatory) postings or not.. it is just like walking down an isle of Adult magazines in a news-store. If we, as able individuals, choose not to respond to any posting we do not feel comfortable with, or do not want to recognize, we should not be doing it...This way the freedom of speech will remain intact.
