It's been a while since I had the opportunity of reading about different styles/expressions in Nepali poetry. The classic categories of Raudra Rash (Expression of Anger), Bibhatsa Rash (Expression of Shock/Fear(?)), Sringar Rash (Expression of Romance) comes to mind, but there are much more. Unfortunately, most of it has slipped out of my mind. It'd be nice to know of your input. Here's the only thing I remember, and it's not mine. Sringar Rash (Expression of Romance) Swa swa gari palang, ma chhal le nidai Sutnu bhayechha pati ji, ma ta hos napayi Nirdhakka chumban gare, pati hasnu bho Laaz le bhutukka ma bhaye, ani kunni k bho? Peace!

I know of soma ras, which albiet not a poetry form has inextricable link with it because its usually the stop before all things poetry. Goes something like: Khatiya uparai kuti sathai basa Thaliya bhari paski jhingalu rasa Khuba khau ramau yasari kantipuri nagari....seem to have forgotten it
