Though I am normally not a great supporter of Republicans, I remain -- after quietly following the Massachusetts state politics race for the last few years -- quite a fan of Mitt Romney. And so, congrats to Mitt Romney on his being elected the new Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. By all accounts, Romney -- a Michigan native and a former consultant with Bain & Company and a former venture capitalist at Bain Capital -- is an inclusive, take-charge, forward-looking kind of a guy who is immensely hardworking. Just last year, he took on and turned around the scandal-plagued Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and made it a grand international success. [True, Romney lost the US Senatorial race to Ed Kennedy in 1994. Then again, everyone knows that in Massachusetts, it's hard to dislodge a Kennedy. Besides, that defeat taught Romney a lot of valuable lessons, lessons he has put to good use now.] Here's wishing all the best to Romney. It is my prediction that Romney will go on to be the President of the United States someday. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

That last debate witgh Shannon was a full fledge Brawl. May have saved the olympics(plagued with corruption), but don't think neither he or o'Brien deserves it. Like my room-mate said YOU WANT BAD OR WORSE ? Do like Jill Stein(her ideals some of it) but nobody wants to listen to her and she does not have the $$$ backing like the two Majors to market herself.

Yup, he is a hard-working guy all right. Mormon at that. And a rich, "telegenic" republican. He fits the Bush clique'. My congratulations to him too. Even Gore congratulated what's his name after the supreme court handed what's-his-name the presidency. Why wouldn't I? Poor Gore. Come to think of it, he was not "poor Al" at all if I think a bit more deeply. Ahem* He DESERVED it. The whole democrats and its machinery *deserved* it. Did you see him debate with that frat boy? The Frat Boy looked more sure that that Al the Robot. And how he was agreeing with Gerge the Hun. Let me ask you (not you you but people out there)if democrats start to agree with the republicanseverything from tax cuts to social welfare to War on Iraq what is there for liberals to vote for? And you would want to vote for somebody who sounds honest at least to their idoelogy. All these democrats are running around and running for office agreeing with Bush the Hun. So why vote for people who don't seem honest to their ideology, their beliefs. Actually do democrats have any ideology after all? What do the *stand* for? Good that Romney won and Republicans have the house AND the senate AND the White House. I say again: Democrats deserve it! I am voting for the Greens next time. At least they are honest and don't brown nose all the time like democrats seem to be doing lately.

Its going to be tough 2 yrs for George boy... if he does not deliver then him and his Fuzzy math crew has got to go. The Dems were confused..they did not know whether to grab the Economy and Dems agenda for national campaign or to stick with the 9/11 theme. Dems and their musical chairs agenda brought them to this state. Where as the republicans stuck with their 9/11 agenda and came through with stars and banners. But I have a feeling that Goergey boy and his cowboy antics is going to create White house vs the rest kinda situation. I am very worried about the supreme court nominations too. I think its well balanced now but with their majority on both floors I just hope that they balance both sides equally..

My honest opinion about dems being stumped in this midterm election is their failure to see George Bush nothing more than a frat boy, idiot and he stole the 2000 election. If they don't stop underestimating him and start taking him as a fomidable political foe, they will still loose. One of the main thing beating an enemy is realizing who he is. He is not a dummy. He manipulated the agenda and did not give a ground for democrat, in my play book, it is pretty smart. Although American people have moved on from the 2000 election episode and have accepted George W. Bush as their legitimate president (obvious from his approval ratings and his success in current election), somehow democrate still view him as an illegit president. My suggestion to them "get over it and get a real platform rather than running against President's platform". I also noticed here in Sajha forume a monotone of liberal voices. I have not heard anybody from the other side of political spectrum. Are our conservative sajhaites find it overwhelming to be a "hans ko hulma bakullo"? I know I do. My two cents. LK
