What a waste of time and money of both the defendant and the State. This case shouldn't have to gone to trial.

It was a time of innocence, a time of confidences. Long ago it must be…I have a fold to cry. Preserve your memories…they’re all that’s left you....Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or SOLEN SOMETHING WHEN U HAVE THE CASH? Have u ever been blue or thought ur train moving while sitting still."... Maybe She was just crazy or maybe she was... just a gurl_Interrupted." There r people in this world who do that coz it is like an addiction to them. I am sure she(winona) is fighting within her (in her mind) to keep herself away from her habit. It could have been lot easier for her to get rid of this habit when it was in roots. Alas! at this point in time it has come a long way. It will take a time & lot of effort to get rid of her habit. Just like a person who is addicted to drugs cannot stay away from drugs even when he/she knows it is doing damage to his/her body. Just like a person who is addicted to internet cannot stop surfing, chatting, visiting forums etc....cannot restrain himself/herself from it, even when he/she is aware that she has other important works to finish, for her, it's difficult not to shop-lift. It is an addiction to her. Do u get a peace/pleasure/happiness posting or replying on this forums and staying here sometimes maybe 5 hours in a day even when u know u have a 10 page paper to type for tomorrow's class? I bet no!! but then why do u come here and read other posters messages and post stuffs? Perhaps somewhere deep within u or on the surface u have that hunger? Maybe? U know it's bad, but stil u do it? Why do u do it? And what would u call it? Addiction? or something else? I dunno.

How would you take if a Nepali is arrested for shoplifting? What your reaction would be? What if s/he is someone you know very well?

Imagine that you live in a small town America - a university town for example - and a fellow Nepali is arrested for shoplifting, say at a local K-Mart. (First the charge is genuine - else you can sue their pants off. ) It tells you the character of that fellow. More important, other folks - especially Indians - make comments as if all Nepalis are guilty. You know, in a small town all the international students know each other. And such minor shoplifting incidents are published in the local newspaper - with name and address! So, aru ko ku-karma ko natija bhogna parchha.

Guys guys!! Remember one of those Nepali ambassadors, some 13 years ago, who was accused of stealing a book from a book store in America? I forgot his name but i still remember him as he resided in kalankisthan for a while, after that incident. Everybody used to call him "kitabchor"... According to him, he was holding the book and beckoning someone, and the Alarm turned on. He lost his position. I don't know what happened to him after that....
