Too much Screen Time can make you sick.. I spend around 9-10 hrs at work of which, I'd say, around 6 hours infront of my computer. I go home and turn my another tube on, I'd say at least 2 hours. So all in all, I spend 8 hours of my time getting radiated.. hmm.... One time, I had a severe pain on my wrist and that turned out to be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Luckly, it went away with some therapy. I know lot of people spend hours infront of a computer.. Read an article on CNN Too much Screen Time can make you sick. Thanks for letting us to know the article, Mr. SMSainju. Well, a student may spend his time sitting in front of a computer in an average 3 hours in a week, not a programmer, Hummmmmm Hummmmmm. |

Just 3 hrs per week, are you talking about student in Nepal ki US? I normally spend 3-4 in a single stretch for my one assignment, and I have a lot ofthese assignments per week. Did you intend to say 3hrs/day?? SMSainju ji, hajur lai kata kata chineko jasto lagyo ni??? Hajur bawauli tira ko ho ki??? |

Thanks for the posting! I was just starting to wonder what is the reason behind my sleeping disorders, but came to know now. I'll try to reduce my exposure within the limit. Computers are addictive! |

Let me think! 2 hours in the morning (PSFT) at home, before Nepal goes to sleep and Sitara et al start posting 6/8 hours at work when Nepal is sleeping and NK et al start posting 2/3 hours at home again after Nepal wakes up and Paschim, Ashu et al start posting So, daily 10/13 hours, phew!!!!!! I have been doing this for last ..... years oh no you will know my age then..... But, thank God I don't have any severe symptoms. What I do to take care of my eyes and other strains? 1) Keep my office ergonomically correct (screen type, table/chair positions, distance from screen etc.) 2) Take few minutes break and walk around and if possible look at greens far away from my windows (Chiya break is handy). 3) At least 20/30 minutes excersize - it may be playing with my kids or playing ping pong at my office. I had a sever neck, wrist, fingers, eye balls, eye whites and even teen pain posting on this damn board, That was when I stopped and thought, hmmmm... maybe I should quit my job and be a full time sajha poster.
