I am trying to attach a picture in my thread, but I don't know how to do that. There's no attachment option in this site. Is there any way to make an attachment? I know it is possible bacause I have seen some people doing it. Any help will be appriciated.

If the image is on a webpage, you can provide the link to the image as above and post the picture. [ A little bit of *hunting* will make you aware how I posted the link ]. I don't think you can attach a picture to a thread anymore since that feature has been removed. Make sure the picture isn't copyrighted before you provide the link; like the above picture which isn't copyrighted :) :)

This is just img src command. enclose it between lessthan sign (<) img src="http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/images/nepal/04062002.jpg" greater than sign (>)

Hi NP, The upload feature has been disabled since the current host does not allow it. Yes, we are missing a good to have feature. You can however link to any existing images in other websites using the IMG SRC code in your posting. Here's how to do it: 1. Locate the image (at any site) you want to share in sajha. 2. Right click on the image and select "Properties" 3. In the Properties Box, you will see a listing called "Addess (URL):" - Copy this string of url - which is the actual location of the image. Let's denote it bye "$urlstring$" 4. Now when you post to sajha include the following code where you want the image to appear: <img src="$urlstring$"> (if you want the image to appear directly below the text) OR <img src="$urlstring$" align="right"> (if you want the image to be aligned to the right of the browser) OR <img src="$urlstring$" align="left"> (if you want the image to be aligned to the left of the browser) 5. That's it!

Sri Sarva manya san jyu: It might be useful to include "alt:" tag with the imageURL. Hamro Nepal ma photo appear huna nikkai tyam lagcha.. therefore alt: tag rakhidiyeko khanda ma we would know at least something about the image.. Here is from University of Arizona website on use of alt tags: The ALT tag or 'alternative text' is an attribute of the IMG tag. An ALT tag should be included for every image within your web site. The ALT tag provides an alternate message to your viewers who can't see your graphics. Without ALT tags, images on a web site are meaningless to these users. If you will be using graphic menu systems for navigation, these alternate messages are especially important aid to users without the ability to see your graphics. Adding an appropriate ALT tag to every image within your web site will make a huge difference to the accessibility of your web site. An ALT tag is inserted into a IMG tag by surrounding the ALT tag message within quotes. Example: The content of the ALT tag should adequately describe the image depicted on the graphic without being too verbose. (borrowed shamelessly from UofAz URL http://uaweb.arizona.edu/resources/tutorial/alt.shtml ) batauli.

Batauli, This is because you are using img src="UAlogo.gif" If you do not include the correct path to the image then it will not show up. When you do not signify the full location and only insert the file name, then the browser will try to find the image in the same directory as the page that is being viewed ie. http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/ Hence you have to include the FULL PATH to the image. Please follow my directions above, ie. right click on the image to find the FULL PATH. Thanks

Batauli, Actually as soon as you type "<" the browser processes it as a beginning TAG hence it tries to resolved your tags as an image. HTML is a tag based language where tags are enclosed within < and > If you want to represent these brackets then you have to use character representations such as if you type & l t ; (without the spaces, it will show as <) Regards, San
