Chand government lacks legitimacy: Eminent citizens

KATHMANDU, Nov 9 - A group of eminent citizens has appealed to King Gyanendra to immediately disband the present government headed by Lokendra Bahadur Chand and make interim arrangements in its place. The group has also urged the King to revive the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR).
Issuing a joint statement on the eve of the 13th Constitution Day the eminent citizens numbering eight urged the monarch to take immediate steps to correct the derailment of the constitutional process.
The signatories include Bishwanath Upadhyaya, Daman Nath Dhungana, Nilamber Acharya, Dr. Krishna Kumar Pandey, Dr. Madhu Ghimire, Dr. Devendra Raj Pandey, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Prasad and Kulshekhar Sharma. The first three were members of the committee, which drafted the present Constitution.
“It is unhealthy for the nation to give continuity to the present government which does not even have legitimacy, confidence, qualifications, public support and authority,” the statement said. The group has appealed for the immediate disbandment of the government and replace it by either revival of the dissolved parliament or “interim arrangements that would institutionalise the exercise of the people’s sovereign rights.” Such interim arrangement, the statement added, should be developed in consultation with all political parties including the rebel Maoists.
The statement also slammed the King’s October 4 action as “making a bad situation worse.”
The statement said that the King’s action is tantamount to taking away people’s authorities. “The people’s ire against parties’ leadership was used to take away their own authority. Such action today has created a rift between the monarchy and the people,” the statement said. “The belief that such action can get away without public protest reflects the inability to realise the political maturity of the masses in these 12 years of democracy.”
The statement also clearly states that according to the Constitution, sovereignty lies with the people and is exercised by the people themselves or through their elected representatives.
The statement urges the monarch to rise above politics and encourage a environment of dialogue between all the political forces in the country. (yo)

Lots of people abroad just talk without really knowing what is happening in Nepal. Next time you visit KTM, look at the people in their eyes and talk to them. Ask them what has been good for them in the last decade and vise versa. I think someone staying abroad and saying we need this and that is not a fair at all. Those same netas who destroyed the country are now blaming the king so that they can get back to the power. And they will once again start looting people and the country.
I am ashamed of those supporting the netas who bankrupted RNAC, Economy, and the nation.

Makune who vandalized whole kathmandu for 57days just for the RNAC lauda case, but, today, what happened to his skin heads? who broke the telephone booths to road side rails. They are all tired of their leaders. IF Makune had preserved that force for rainy days, today, makune would not have suffered so much of pain. Well, Girija is kutta. I don't want to talk about that father of a bit*. Did you hear that the bit* has 1.3 million house in new york... any way she has good house in kathmandu. Even she does not have house, she live in very good house, from where she get that money to remain in the house.
Though, Makune is little bit aparipakka idiot leader, but, it seems he is better than any other party's president. If I have to rank party presidents, then, Makune should be numbered No. 1. Ke Garne, sale kangressi haru ganauda ganauda, tyo sale kutta GRJ lai deputy SG banauna puge. Well, Shailaja, Ramchandra and Sushil are there, but, they are powerless poor fellows. (Sushil manche ta montetarily honest ho. tara kam garne style chai too corrupted chha, afno samarthan nagarne district level committee lai turunta dissolve gari dincha, and its one reason Sher B. Deoba camp rised).
All these reasons made them flop. King rised, peoples have fresh air. CIAA is the bargaining key between these parties and king. They will settle and CIAA will become a joke organization. Politics ma je pani huncha. CIAA is just a game. Well, Khume, wagle, gupta and 22 karmachari will be sacrificed, and Surya nath upadhyaya will slowly retreat to peaceful life. Girija has to save his daughter. Girija will shake his hand at anytime. Bamdev knows the power of minister, will force Amale to join. RPP and Sadvawana are already there. Sher B. is joker will be minimized once Girija panel joins the govt., and power mugga guys in Shere panel will return to Girija, because all of them are for power.

Makune is HAH* Madhav Kumar Nepal. Makune is the general secretary of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) which was founded on what priciples I am not sure about but now is based "tero bau mero bau, meri ama meri ama, tero bhai, mero bhai, teri didi, meri didi, teri baine meri baine, tero bhai mero bhai, teri swasni meri swasni, meri swasne merai swansi" ideology. Marx and Lenin are nobody for UML except magi khane naam. "Allah ke nam pe kuch de de baba...Bhagwan ke nam pe kuch de de...Marx Lenin ke nam pe bhot de de baba..."

I don't beleive in "King does not like Makune". Makune is no threat to Narayanhiti. At least not now. Yemale is a "nakkali" communist party. Narayanhiti is not so worried with Girija baje or Makune baje...With prachanda baje and Bauram baje? sure! Hahoo Guru is probably correct in saying CIAA is a key institution to bring all these awasarbadi bhates to the government (or at least silent support). When CIAA starts kicking some prominent dudes in Yemale and kangress...they will change their attitude. When they come to power or at least support the present govt from "outside", CIAA goes back to sleep. Even if it remains awake, all it will do is catch some small fishes not to disturb the agreement of equilibrium.
