Hi there, Yesterday, I could not join a group of friends for a bowling outing due to other commitments. That said, notwithstanding Robert Putnam's book called "bowling alone" (about the decline in civic participation in America), the game of bowling is getting very, very popular in Kathmandu . . . and it ranks right up there, after snookers. There is this bowling alley on Kantipath (near the old British Council building) called 1905 Boardwalk that serves good fast-food and offers some good, clean bowling fun, though there are not any lanes. The place is always crowded with pretty young things and their sugar daddies. Inside the Soaltee Hotel ko complex, there is this game-center called Fun World that has many bowling lanes. Shoes are provided, of course. Though the food there is atrocious, and the service jhan khattam the bowling lanes are very good -- the ones that remind you of Alewife (in Boston) ko bowling lanes. Likewise, other bowling alleys in Kathmandu also get busy on week-ends. Do check out some bowling action with friends when any of you are in Kathmandu next time. oohi "promoting the fun stuff that Kathmandu offers to you" ashu ktm, nepal

O-e Paramendra-kaji, Sure, let's meet up and do guff-suff, when you are next in Kathmandu. I will certainly free my schedule to sit down and do guff-suff with you. And I insist on buying a pitcher or two of cool, refreshing Carlsberg www.carlsberg.com.np oohi ashu ktm, nepal
