I am in OPT, applied job very hard to get respond. It's been pretty frustrating so I thought of going home, taking Maters 1-20 once my PT runs out. I am little concern about not getting visa in Nepal. I have a second thought applying in boarder(canada or mexico).Has anyone recently applied visa in boarder? I heard this days even boarders are tight then before. your info and suggesstion will be highly appreciated.

Raain, keep applying--I am sure something will work out.
I am on OPT, too. And wanted to go home before i started working, but was suggested not to, as on the card itself it says--not valid for reentry in the US. I was told that i could be denied a visa. But if you already have a master's i-20, you should not have a problem.

I once got a visa from toronto consulate office, didn't have much problem, but don't know what the status is now.

Goodluck!

Do not worry, keep trying to find out a job. I know couple of friends across the US, they had same problem finding out a job, finally they got job and they are heading toward applying for H1-B. I suggest you to find out the companies in Connecticut, most of the companies in that State hiring new grads in most of majors. Get contact with the Nepalis in Connecticut, they will be able to help you out.

Good luck.
