Hi Folks,

I hope it is not a dumb idea to begin with. I had chance to discuss this with a few folks on Sajha chat. Everyone liked the idea.

The idea is, Sajha would elect someone as the PM of Nepal for a week. Sajha basi would then ask questions: what? and how that are related to Nepal's prosperity...

This is just a survey if you like the idea at all. If you like it, please respond. I will be happy to moderate this forum on this topic. There is only one term limit. i.e PM for a week and you can no longer become the pm anymore.

I will be happy to collect the DATA. Good thoughts and good points..

Any feedback?

We will nominate the candidate here at the forum. Or if someone wants to become the PM, he/she can speak up.

I'm lil confused either to nominate Mr. Oohi Ashu or Mr.Paramendra........Let's see what our sajhapuri Nagari have to say about it. May be M.P........?

Ma chai Paramendra lai PM banaune pakchya ma. Ashu is full time employee in Nepal, his job will be in trouble if he becomes PM for just one week. As Paramendra ji said, he does not have regular 9-5 job, he deserves the founding PM of Sajhapur. We must honor him with the Founding PM of Nepal. Let Oohi Ashu work for CIAA head.

Dear Chief Speaker SMSainju,

I here by propose that Our great Sajhapur Niwasi, whose cyber address is http://www.geocities.com/paramendra/, be nominated to PM of the Government of Sajhapur.

Faithfully yours,
HahooGuru

SM Came up with a quite creative idea here. Lets get all the nominations first and it will be good idea to have a sajha poll as a ballot where all sajhabashi can vote anonymously.
yogesh_s Posted on 15-Nov-02 08:56 AM

I have been a silent reader of the sajha forums for nearly two years now. Over the past couple of months sajha seems to have been taken over by fake news. I think these fake news are getting a little old.

Just my opinion.
Shiva Shiva!! Posted on 15-Nov-02 09:37 AM

I think PASCHIM is in NEPAL to SWORN in. Ashu will join him as a Finance Minister. Any one else for the job??
M.P. Posted on 15-Nov-02 12:11 PM

This idea is plausible. Thanks to SMSainju.

yogesh_5,
With due respect to your opinion here, I beg to differ. You are right we have been creating a virtual world. But I donot think you can call this "fake NEWS" because I am sure almost everyone here understands that these things have never happened. In other words, we are not deluding anyone. Or atleast, our intention is not to do so.

On the other hand, creating a virtual world can be a good way of getting new ideas. Who knows, someday our intellectuals of Sajha--Ashu, Paramendra, Paschim, Arnico, Biswo et al--might reach to the driving seat. We have heard a little about their fantancies [through vision for nepal, of vice and corruption etc.] but I, for one, am eager to hear more.

It is also a good way of cultivating/learning political culture among/by us. I am not saying this will bring a huge change but I think what SMSainju has suggested does more good than bad.

---And I nominate SIWALIK for premiership for the coming week.

Bhawadiye [will no longer be using copyright protected "Oohi" from now on],

If it came down to Ashu and Parmendra, I would pick Ashu simply beacuse we do not need any more MPs that have a very soft corner in their hearts for India and need India for everything. I don't want Nepal's governemnt to run by New Delhi. Here I have assumed that Ashu does not have the kind of affection that Mr. P has for India and picks Nepal's interest over India's

still in the game

Yogesh_S. I hope you will speak your mind more. This place has become a softy, mushy, and cliquish . I think some more but I think I will stop right here for the moment. We seem to like everything anybody bothers to write. Is that really possible? Perhaps I am too sketptic bordering on cycnisim. And, I think there is always a place for negativism. Too much sugar is bad for ya, you know.

I wish people like you the "silent readers" speak more and post what they are thinking...

Let's hear them all...
HahooGuru Posted on 16-Nov-02 08:08 PM

In Sajha too, SMsainju wrote the constitution that bars PM for two terms. I think SM sainju jyu has to change it to bar only consecutive two terms like RPP.

KOL reports: Party President Surya Bahadur Thapa will not be contesting as the party statute bars the incumbent from contesting for a second consecutive term.

The so called nepals only democratic party NC lacks such agenda. Nepal's PM should not be allowed to occupy PM posts not more than two times, whether its 2 plus 2 days or 5 plus 5 years.

HG,

For the time being, Lets stick with one term limit policy and that may give all the folks an equal opportunity to voice their opinion. We are flexible.

The Idea of this whole thing is to collect ideas, plans, etc that perhaps can be utilized in Nepal.
