I just thought it might be important to Nepali students going home this winter to consider these issues for visa renewal:
1. Please make sure that your college has entered your name into the New DOS database, SEVIS. If not you will not be given a new Visa.
2. Don't forget your official transcript, statement of financial aid and letter from either International student advisor or Dean of students/ studies.
The US Government is constantly changing rules regarding the International student visa and since the countries, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are in the countries affected, Nepal might be one too. So please keep yourself updated on new rules through either International student advisor or go to :
www.ins.usdoj.gov.
www.travel.state.gov.
