It's that time of year again, and I'd like to get my 15-month-old son's home daycare provider something nice to say "thank you" for taking such good care of him.
Any suggestions for a nice gift?? There are 3 ladies who take of kids, so do i give gifts to all or just the owner or the owner and a specific lady who is with my son all the time?
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

A box of chocolate - Godiva may be.
A box of smoked samon.
A bottle of good wine (if not underage).
A restaurant gift certificate for two.

One, all, or any combination - depending upon your wallet.
I would prefer to give to the lady who cares for your son. The owner is not expected to receive such gift. (Like in a restaurant, you tip the wait person not the owner) In doubt, consult Miss Manners :)

Women love to shop therefore, gift certificates from the stores would be very generous.

If it's a daycare place where several teachers/counselors are taking care of the kids (presumably including the owner) and your kid has relationships with all of them, I think it's nice to give gifts to all. I've given small plants to teachers, because they're cheery and they last for years. You can give keepsakes from Nepal, if you have them around (like photo frames or little dolls). My gut reaction to a bottle of wine, though, is that it wouldn't really be appropriate for a teacher, within the context of American culture; too personal and party-ish, and also you don't know if the teacher drinks, so it's kind of presuming. Chocolate is good, though. Or a little Xmas ornament (if you know the teachers celebrate Xmas).

I will have to agree with Sally's gut feeling about wine. I was thinking of myself :)
Godiva was my preference too :]

[That was "Salmon" not samon. Damn angreji spelling.]

Thank you Yatreeji,Goratoji and Sallyji

Thank you all for the suggestions. I gave them Godiva last year so did not want to repeat again. I was thinking of some nepali sutff as you said Sally but I don't have any extra ones to give.
I like the idea of gift certificates and bo of smokes smaon(I mean Salmon)
So I'll see.

Thank you very much all.
