Which one do you think is healthier? I personally wipe my butt after taking a dump because you don't have to touch your poop, since toilet paper acts as a barrier. And you can always wash your hands, although you don't necessarily have to!
But when you wash your butt, your fingers will be all slathered with poop. You'll be touching your poop. That's not a very healthy thing to do. And you are forced to wash your hands, or else you'll be stinking up the joint!!
Then again, animal lovers probably like to emulate their favorite animals, and leave their butt as is, and let it dry out!

From the health perspective, it definitely is wise enough to be wiping your adorable butt coz like you said the toilet paper certainly helps a great deal in acting as a barrier but don't you wash your butty when you take a shower? so what's the difference? actually we were discussing this too the other day when a frend of my came forward with that argument~
anyways i've MOSTLY wiped it (atleast after i've landed here)

I only use TOILET PAPER,so whenever I take my undies for washing,I see the yellow stain (u know what I mean).Sometimes ta sano sano chunk pani kattu ma huncha.
