What is the chance that eventually the Moaist shake hands with the king? The agreement between the Moaists and the King , could look like this : 1) there will be only one political party, a.k.a. the Maobadi party. 2) There will be a shared power system between the Monarch and the Mao-Party. 3) The country will not be in isolation , like the Maoists originally intended.(we need foreign aid, for the new system to be viable) 4) The system will be socialist with inclinations to the left, ,not Mao communist. 5) the corrupt "ex- politicians" will not be asked to join the government. 6) Professional and so called intellectual Nepalis will be hired to run various departments.( a little bit like what Gyanendra is doing now , by appointing Anu Koirala and D.Gyawali) etc etc.... The Maoists are ready for talks. They seem to be fighting a never ending war. The army is not going to stop either. So its in thier best interest to negotiate thier terms at this point, they might not get everything they ever wanted , but who knows, might be able to walk out with a good package in hand! I heard a couple "conspiracy" theories , 5/6 years ago that Gyanendra created the Maoist; that he is a major funder or the Maoist; that he is gonna gain power one day using the Maoist; that he was super ambitious and he has a grrand design to be the most powerful in Nepal. This was all a few years before the royal massacre, there was no logical reason for me be beleive it. Not that I beleive it now, but I definately do think about it! If the king and maobadi shake hands, it will solve my personal puzzle. I know this is off track but, how many of you thnk there is any possibility the two forces will come together?

I personally don't think Gyanendra created Maoists. No smart personality or institution with high ambition designs a monoster only to be thrased later[ "bhalu ko kaan" chhode tokchha bhalule ...kati bela samma samatera basi rakhni?] I won't be surprised if Maoists shake hand with king. Power is the center of politics. You will be surprised how quickly UML, NC and other parties change their rhetorics once prachanda & co. enters singhadurbar slightly nodding to the salute of a sentry there.

I am sick and tired of reading about criticisms about the new king. I am not for or against anybody as I believe everybody should be given a chance to prove oneself, espcially in that time when Nepal require a good leadership more than anything else. Who know, the king might come up with the better solution for the welfare of the country. Let us be optimistic and hope for the best. By the way, I kind of get a feeling that whoever wrote this piece is a maobadi himself/herself who knows lots of internal ties between the king and maobadi. Otherwise how can one jump into conclusions and blame someone like that?

I dont know your true identity. And I dont have true support to any parties in Nepal. All seems the same thing. But you sound like Girja P koirala knachi instead of Nepali Kanchi.
